My husband has worn Justin’s work boots almost everyday for years now first finding them at a Boot Barn while on vacation. The exact style that he likes is getting harder to find. We settled for the square toe boot when he’s always worn the rounded toe boot. He was concerned his toes would be cramped, but they are not. He says that the boot just looks a little odd on his foot right now. While this style is close to the style he’s always worn, there are some differences. 1) There’s more padding in the boot shank, tongue and collar. But I would not call this an insulated boot because there’s no padding in the foot area of the boot. The padding does give his ankle more support. If you have thicker ankles, then this style might be a tighter fit for you.2) The heel and sole appear to be made of a rubber composite. His previous boots had a leather/leather composite sole and heel. The sole and heel is also thicker, but not much heavier. There’s a pretty good tread pattern on the sole, so maybe they will be a bit better on slippery ground. All the seams appear to be well-sewn. This boot is not water proof, but even without any special treatment, I would say they are a little water resistant. They will soak through if you wear them in wet snow, so he also wears rubbers when out in wetter weather conditions.I am hoping for at least three years of wear like he’s gotten out of his other pairs and that this style is not discontinued.
These boots are trash. All of the stitching is falling apart after a couple months of wearing them.
