Fits like a very worn gloves. And comfortable for what I paid for them journey west is my loafer go to. I have a few pairs.
I honestly prefer classic Bass Weejuns, but these shoes are a great alternative for a lower cost. The fit, style, and quality are great so far. However, what I failed to realize is that the slots where pennies would traditionally go is only for show. Pennies slide right out if you try putting them in the slots. I’m used to that piece of leather being attached at the top and bottom, so I had to very carefully glue pennies so that it appears like they’re wedged in place. This is a nitpicky review, but the shoes themselves are fine, but if you want to wear penny loafers true to their name, consider a different pair or be prepared to improvise.
I wear size 9 and I ordered size 9 but they're very hard to put my feet inside after wiggling and trying I got it inside Feels little tight so I don't know if I should keep them and wear them will it become loose in time or should I return them. The Journey West Mens Penny Loafers is a good-looking shoe. The problem we are having is that they seem to run a bit wide. Perhaps that can be taken care of with thicker socks. Also, we noticed the sole is thinner than expected. If you need more support this won't be your ideal shoe. My husband does need more support from his penny loafers.Please note there is a plastic film on the bottom of the shoes. This is done so you can try on the shoe and walk around without causing any wear to the sole. This way the shoe can be returned if it doesn't work for you and still be in fine condition. Just be aware in case you get a more slippery experience than expected.Overall this is indeed a handsome shoe, just not the right fit and not enough support for my husband.
About three weeks of wear the heel on the shoe started coming apart. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement pair. The look and feel are great. Leather upper and lower.
I have a narrow foot and can walk out of these shoes.
