The Itasca Men's Striker II stands out for its lightweight feel, making it suitable for those long trails where comfort is paramount. The combination of suede and nylon not only adds style but also functionality, ensuring that your feet remain protected without overheating. The removable insole allows you to customize your comfort level, which can be particularly beneficial for extended wear.
When it comes to traction, the rubber outsole is commendable, providing grip on various surfaces, whether you're navigating rocky paths or wet grass. Although the boots do not feature waterproof material, their breathability compensates for it, keeping your feet cool during hot hikes.
However, like any product, it has its downsides. Some users have reported the initial stiffness of the boot, indicating a breaking-in period. Additionally, wide-footed individuals might find it challenging to locate the right fit due to half sizing restrictions. Overall, if you're seeking a reliable hiking boot that balances weight, comfort, and durability, the Itasca Men's Striker II could be a fitting choice.

This shoe was a perfect fit for my small/wide feet(US-7.5-DD).Very comfortable and well built hiking shoe! The low cost and fast shipping was greatly appreciated. Will definitely buy another pair at this low price.
Tongue does not stay in place and the heels collapsed after a few uses. They are outdoor work shoes now.
I chose 11W for my size. They are in fact 2E which is just what I needed. They are comfortable and priced lower than other brands yet they are constructed just as well as many high priced hiker/trail shoes.
They were a tad snug at first but after the first long walk felt fine. Not sure if I would recommend going a half size larger or not since I am keeping my pair, but if you have wide feet you may keep that in mind. Arch support has never been a big deal for me like it is for some and if a shoe has a lot of it I normally don't like it; but I think the arch support is at least average.Haven't worn them all day yet, but I don't think they would be fine for all day use if you get the right size.
I like this brand and have had other shoes and boots from them over the years that were great and lasted a long time, but not these. They lasted two weeks and the sides gave out. I know that I can be hard on shoes but only two weeks is ridiculous.
I ordered sizes 8.5 and these were 1.5 inches LARGER than the sized 8.5 shoes they were replacing. Returned.
This shoe, advertised as wide, was tight on both feet. It may improve as it breaks in, but out of the box it was much tighter than expected.
I've bought these at least 3 times over the years. I abuse all of my shoes. I really put them through the ringer and these hold up better than any other shoe I've bought. Even at 3 times the price and the size is SPOT ON.
