These Icebug Stavre boots are great for winter dog walking and hiking. We’ve had an enormous amount of ice this winter in Minnesota, making walking tricky. These boots with spikes permit one to continue walking as normal, despite the icy conditions. They’re safe, comfortable, and reasonably warm. If you are a serious winter walker, these are for you!
These boots are so great on ice and hard pack icy snow. You do not wobble like one does on the pull on creepers! They are true to size … I wear a women’s 9 in keens and bought a 9 . They fit perfect, warm I will say I’ve been walking and relocating snow wearing them My feet were toasty warm. I do wear wool socks in winter .
These are the best winter boot I've ever had. The design is flawless. I can even run on the ice without fear of falling. Easy off and easy on! Warm as well. Recommend highly to anyone who lives around icy winter conditions!
Walking around outside in Alaska on icy streets and sidewalks
IceBug makes great boots... if they fit. I have a pair of the metro BUGrip 2, the 9.5 fit perfectly out of the box and they are my go-to boots for winter. I was looking for something I could lace up for steeper hills, just to make the boot fit better. These boots were too small at a 9.5 and too large at a 10. The angle band on these boots hits me just at the curve above the heel - a vulnerable spot for blisters - while the Metro hits higher and poses no problems. I think these would have softened up but the 10 was too big. These boots are also colder than the Metro, due to not leather and no fleece lining - but if they fit you go for it. You won't regret it.
These boots are warm, well made, and really grip the ice. Greatly reduces my fear of falling.
For icy sidewalks, trails, and streets, these are game changers. After an ice storm, you can walk anywhere without worrying about slipping and falling on the ice. Icebugs make snow shoveling easier, too. FYI, Don’t wear them into your house. They’ll damage floors.
Good traction. Reasonably comfortable. Able to drive short distances with these on. Boa Fit closure system seems to works good so far but durability remains to be determined.
