Im not sure what's with all the reviews about them being knock offs. The boots I received are authentic according to all the ’How to spot a Hunter knock-off’ articles. The boots saying ’made in china’ is not a sign of a knock off like some reviewers said. A simple Google search can tell you the places Hunters are made and China is one of them. That being said... My only complaint is I didn't realize that the top of the boots would be so tight. If I try to wear them with jeans or thick leggings it makes them scrunch up weird because my legs are (apparently) too fat lol. I’m slightly overweight, 5’9 at 184, so maybe they will fit once I lose my baby weight. If you're bigger than a size 8, or just have athletic legs, I’d suggest buying the wide top boots.
I really like these boots. I live in the in northern Indiana where it can gets way below 0 at times. I have ventured out in these boots and it is so nice not to worry when stepping in a puddle or snow. My feet stay warm even without the boot socks. I do have different sized calves do to multiple surgeries on my ankle. One is a 15.5 and the other is a 14.5. The boots are a perfect fit on my 14.5 leg but are ever so snug on my 15.5 leg. So if you measure your calves and they are above a 15.5 you may want to go with the adjustable back version of these boots. My second bit of advice would he to get a boot jack. They are a life saver and make taking tall boots of a breeze. I am sure they sell them on Amazon, or you can find them at places that sell horse supplies. I wear lots of boots and it saves my entire body as I am not a yoga enthusiast so getting my boots of by myself is not an easy task.
I LOVE these boots. I wear them year round to walk my 120 lb bloodhound and they are my go to everyday foot wear October-April. I have a narrow foot and fairly slim calves and they are perfect for me with a pair of wool socks. If your feet and calves are wide, you may find them a bit snug. I highly recommend this model over the “packabke” version, which I personally find too floppy, a bit shorter leg height, and wider footbed. My last pair of these boots lasted 7 years and then began to have some cracked areas.
My 16 1/2 inch calves,(very muscular calves, I'm a power walking long distance walker), did not fit...
To Clunky, and large. Not attractive at all.
Bought these for my daughter in law! She seen I had a pair and was jealous lol. I said I got you and bought them for her! Love ❤️ love love them and so does she!
