The Hatley Girls Printed Rain Boots are not just footwear; they're an invitation to adventure. When it comes to quality, these handmade vulcanized rubber boots stand out with their impressive waterproof properties. Your child's feet will stay dry even when splashing through puddles. The slip-resistant soles are particularly noteworthy, providing much-needed traction, which is essential for active kids who don't slow down for rain.
In terms of comfort, the removable insoles allow for easy customization. If your child prefers a softer fit, adding bootie liners transforms the experience into something delightful. However, one thing to keep in mind is that choosing the right size is crucial. Some parents have found that these boots tend to run a bit small, so it's advisable to check the sizing chart before making a purchase.
Although these boots shine in many areas, they lack insulation, which means they are best suited for spring and fall rather than harsh winter conditions. Nevertheless, the bright rainbow stripes make them visually appealing and adaptable for various outfits, creating excitement for kids who may not always be thrilled about wearing rain gear.

I love the quality, design and fit of Hatley for my kids. They last a long time.
I'm a huge fan of Hatley. I discovered this brand buying my kids raincoats last year. They were AWESOME. In fact, my kids are still wearing those rain coats a year and a half later and they look brand new. And they have the cutest designs ever. So this year I bought my daughter a couple of pairs of rain boots and another matching raincoat for the fall. She doesn't even really need it, but we like to splash in muddy puddles and stomp around in rain year round- so we like boots. And these were so cute I couldn't stand it. Quality of construction is very high on Hatley products- and I am very, very picky. The boots are sturdy and well made and the coats are impeccable- high quality fabrics, good fit, zippers that don't stick and a nice warm liner for those chilly fall, early spring, or not quite too cold and snowy winter days. A bit too warm for a summer rain storm, so for that I just got them a lightweight rain shell. I really like these boots, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them- but if you are in the market for a raincoat that's where this company really shines. I will honestly never buy another brand of raincoat- my kids are each getting one every year. They are that good.
Our daughter loves these boots. They are still a little big but the smallest size I could find. She wears them around the house any chance she gets.
These are the second pair of Hatley Girls boots I’ve purchased over the last couple of years. These boot may are 100% worth the money. Not only are they cute but the quality is fantastic. My daughter goes wading in streams in these boots and her feet stay dry and stomps around in muddy puddles. When we get home we take them to the outside tap for a good scrub and leave them to dry in the sunshine. They look brand new each time. A friend had purchased my daughter a pair of those cheaply made rubber boots with lights in the heals and every time I opened her closet door it smelled like a skunk rubber smell. I was so happy when she outgrew them. I have never had a problem with the Hatley boots having a smell.
Super cute and comfy. My son loves them. He won't take them off until bed time.
Picture is a little deceiving of the raining dogs print, they look pink but don't worry they are definetly red! I ordered the matching coat which is lined with a crayon red terry cloth so I was confident in the color prior to ordering. A few of the printed images are distorted and stretched but you can't really tell at first glance. As far as size they ran a little smaller than expected. My son loves rain boots and currently has a pair of crocs in size 11 so I ordered these in a 12 for when he grew out of his current pair. When you account for the added fabric and narrower cut they fit more like an 11 so you may want to order up in size.Comparison to Crocs:-Crocs are thinner, lighter, and one solid piece. Hatley is several pieces and materials glued together.-Hatley brand has a strong smell initially that the Crocs didn't.-Hatley is more narrow and taller.-Hatley is lined and the sole is made of a heavier rubber that is grippier and prevents slipping.-Crocs has a few fun prints but Hatley wins in looks and has far more options that are appealing to young children. If your debating on these or Crocs I would say it definetly depends on your child's foot. If they have average/thin feet I'd go with Hatley, wider foot definetly go with Crocs. Also, If you're child is intending to wear them as regular shoes even without rain (like my 4yr old!) Crocs may be a better purchase as they are lighter and don't slow them down as much. We definitely prefer Crocs as far as fit and functionality but my son loves the prints so well probably order another pair down the line.
We absolutely love these boots! I ordered a size 6 for my 17 month old daughter and they fit perfect. They are very easy to put on and take off. She can do it herself which she loves. They are not loose and stay on her feet as long as she wants them on. The sole is flexible enough she can walk around comfortably for long periods of time. They have been completely waterproof as she has never gotten wet feet while playing in the water. The inside has a nice liner so she isn’t walking on plastic. The seams feel sturdy, although we have only had them for about a week so I can’t speak to the longevity of them. So far, these boots are perfect. My daughter loves them so much she wears them everywhere!I will update this review after my daughter has worn these boots a full summer.
They are cuter than in the stock photos but they run about a size larger than sneakers! Will be doubling up on socks in the meantime and using thick wool socks for the cold fall/winter weather. I chose this brand bc the boots are made of rubber and are pvc and forever chemical free (pfa’s).
