These boots by Harley-Davidson are high quality and they feel great!!! I walked across the living room and came back to my phone and ordered the last two pair they had!!!I have a problem with Harley when they make a great boot and then they quit making it!!! Boots are not like motorcycles. Ya don't need new models of boots every year, but they do it!!!I've since learned if you find a pair ya like, ya better order at least two extra pair when you have feet like mine!!!!If your feet are both the same size or different widths, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOT!!!! It is high quality with thick leather to protect your ankles while riding or a great hiking boot!!!! Plus, THEY LOOK GREAT!!!!!IF YOUR FEET ARE BOTH THE SAME SIZE AND WIDTH, YOU DO NOT NEED TO KEEP READING!!!THE INFORMATION BELOW IS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ONE FOOT WIDER OR HIGHER INSTEP THAN THE OTHER FOOT AND YOUVHAVE NIGHTMARES ABOUT BUYING SHOES AND BOOTS!!!I am 55 years old and a 100% Total & Permanent Disabled Veteran. I have a horrible time buying boots and shoes as an above knee amputee. My right foot is my only foot and it has spread out to EEE wide or F and my prosthetic foot is a C or a D width. My right foot has an extreme high instep and arch, so I have to wear orthotics. My right knee has had an ACL reconstruction and both my feet were completely reconstructed back in 1981. I've lived with foot, knee and back pain most of my adult life.I've been looking for a boot which will fit my right foot and orthotic which can be loosened around the ball and instep of my right foot and yet the left boot can be laced up tight all over to be snug around my prosthetic foot!!!Consequently, when I find a boot which is laced to the toe and I can loosen the laces at the ball of my foot and if it works well with prosthetic leg and foot tightened up good, I feel like I won the Lottery!!!The men's Harley-Davidson Abercorn boot is the perfect boot for my situation!!!! The eyelets across the instep and ball of my right foot are 3 inches apart as opposed to my left prosthetic foot, where the eyelets are now 1 inch apart and as they break in, the eyelets will eventually be about a half inch apart on my left.I am so happy with these boots, I just ordered two more pair!!! I hope my comments help!!!
I’m digging these boots. They fit well and are comfortable to walk and ride in. They have worn well and look like they’ll last for many years. I live the side zipper for fast removal. The leather is soft and has an oil finish that is water resistant in mild rain. The HD branding is subtle - on the side of the heel and sole - but looks classy. Great boots!Update: 5 years later and these boots are still going strong. I’m on my 4th pair of laces and I changed out the insole but the leather still looks great and the outsole has really held up. I’ve probably ridden 40k miles in these boots, in all seasons and all weather. I love the look and comfort. Highly recommend!
Absolutely love the look, but they fit a little bigger than I expected. Not a deal breaker, but I couldn't send them back since I needed them ASAP. Should have gone a half size smaller. They are absolutely NOT the most comfortable thing to wear walking around, but they're great for riding, have excellent grip, and should provide plenty of protection. Also not good for riding in colder temperatures below 40. Otherwise the construction and quality is very well done.
I finally wore out my original Harley Davidson boots after 11 years and having the sole and heels replaced several years back. These boots have ridden thousands of miles, hiked trails, hills, rocks and even shoveled snow, and with a little polish and conditioner kept coming back for more. By far the most comfortable boot I ever owned. The exterior leather of the boot is still good but the inside lining finally gave up after years of wear and abuse. I wanted to replace them with the same boot but that model has been out of production for some time now. The closest thing to it was the Abercorn model. They are almost an exact match except for the toe of the boot is not as massively wide as the older ones. I am happy to report that the new boots look good and fit great! I have a size 12 foot that is slightly wide. These boots are really comfortable and fit like they were made for me! I am so pleased that I made this choice and might have to buy a back up pair. Knowing this style of boot, it only gets better the longer you wear them and am very happy with the fit and feel right out of the box!
A great boot, however there was a slight defect in it and I had to return it. It was the last one in my size. Sometimes things happen. I would still do business with the seller again as I had NO problems with the return.
Just arrived a week or so ago, and was just only now able to open package. Absolutely love the design, fit and comfort of these boots. .Unfortunately, for the second time...These boots have very poor stitching and the threads start breaking away very easily. (See Pics #1 and #2). I had to return it right out of the box, as I had to the first time (This is my second time purchasing and returning them for the very same reason.). If only they had the iron studs like the H/D Buckle Boots (shown in Pic #3), I would definitely order it again without hesitation. As is the same for military service boots, that part of the boots where the Upper meets the Vamp has to be very strong, well stitched and secure against snags or any other physical pressure.
Took them out for a first all day ride over the weekend. Very comfortable, fit as expected, I like the zipper on the side (my old pair were lace up). I thought a zipper was a bit cliche, but the convenience and ease of use is worth it, no time consuming lacing up each time you put on or take off. Perfect for a bike, especially if you want to compliment your HD.
After two rides, these boots were disappointing. I’ve only used these boots twice. Just came came back from Sturgis Rally in SD, 2018. The the right top layer that holds the lace, the stich thread came loose and the sole separated. Furthermore, the bottom-sole seperated from its inner sole layer. I was really happy with these boots until now. I give these boots a 1 star Rating.
