Compared to some other reviews I've had a different experience. I generally wear a 13 wide so that's what I ordered, the first day of wear they felt a bit tighter then I was used to but decided to give it some time to break in around the house, after the first day of leisurely wearing these they now for perfect. The time savings of stepping into them and zipping instead of tying laces is what makes me wish I would have bought this style years ago. I can grab em and get out the door in a flash, and with winter weather I can toss em off just as quick to let them dry off. I have had zero issues with the zipper creeping down as others have mentioned, I think the key is a good fit, if they are too tight the zipper may tend to walk down with force as some have suggested. Regardless I love these, zero issues, comfy, convenient, waterproof, and actually plenty warm in the cold Midwest winter.
Although I spend a tremendous amount of time outdoors living in the southern USA it's impossible to predict winter weather. I bought these wondering if they would even get a decent test this winter. Much more than a test scenario has arrived. I bought these large to accommodate thicker winter socks. Probably should have just ordered my regular size since these are insulated and very warm. 100% waterproof to the top of the zipper. Some minor issues with the the zippers, they are tight, but being easy on them prevents snags. I do feel the lug soles printing through the insoles slightly but not enough to bother my life damaged feet. I'm seriously considering a taller pair for my more intensive outdoor excursions. I rate these 4.5 out of 5. And the price is a bargain too !!!!!
I had been leery about purchasing shoes online. I was having no luck finding anything local that would allow me to remove my boots to enter a customer's house quickly, put them back on quickly, and go walk in mud for hours. These ticked all of those boxes, and they're actually comfortable in the toe box (I have nerve damage in my left foot, so require a wide toe box. These met that need). Another bonus: we recently had an ice storm and these performed great in those conditions, allowing me to walk from my house to the end of our driveway without slipping. I highly recommend these and they will be my go-to for most outdoor activities.
These boots have incredible lining and keep your feet absolutely warm with no problems at all My feet chill easily due to frostbite when I was younger, and I can walk all day in subzero temps with these and have not problems at all. The problem with these boots is the zipper. It breaks. It was quite hard to zip up before it broke because when you wear these in the winter you have heavy socks on. Also, they are always kinda loose as you walk, which is a bit unsettling. They are waterproof and the construction is top-notch, but that damn zipper needs to be gotten rid of. Now I have to find a way to use they boot post zipper which means drilling holes for eyelets I guess and then strapping them up. Not worth the hassle. Final verdict: don't buy these despite their warmth and good construction.UPDATE FEB 22, 2021: After contacting the company, they readily agreed to refund my money since these boots have a life time warranty. I had no idea. They sent me the pre-printed FedEx label and I sent the boots back after using them for over a year. They stand by their product, that is for sure. I raised the star rating from a 2 to a 3 because of this service. The boots are still not worth buying imo. They will falter at some point. I think Guide Gear should stop selling these particular boots because of that.
My husband wanted these boots for deer hunting. He said they were easy to put on, he has arthritis in his hands, warm, and definitely waterproof. They are good looking boots too.
I normally order size 12. I ordered size 13 Wide. The boot fit was great, however, I could not zip them up. It was too small on the arch to zip. Would have loved them if it were not for that. Had to return them.
These boots were nice but once I put them on they were almost impossible to zip up. Just wanted a boot I could put on and take off easy. These were not them.
These were perfect. The zippered frount makes it easy to put on and take off. Love these boots.
