Starting off I would like to point out that I bought this product with hesitation during to mixed reviews not only on Amazon but across the net. I work as an industrial maintenance mechanic and spend 12 hours or more a day on my feet and have gone through multiple brands of boots trying to find something that was not only comfortable but rugged enough to put up with my workload. I saw these on sale in my size (14) and figured I would give them a shot. I actually ordered two pairs due to the price and figured if they didn't meet my needs I would send them back. I received them and was impressed with the quality of the boot and the attention to detail in the stitching and the overall craftsmanship. I tried them on and they fit like a glove. First test passed. The insoles that came with them seemed well made but as someone with much experience I swapped them out for aftermarket insoles to ensure longevity. The second test was my first day at work and the break in period. I put them through the typical trials of if they were truly waterproof and how much the fit stayed true to size as well as what the break-in would do. After three weeks I can say the following:1) They are most definitely waterproof and I work in a wet environment.2) The slip resistant soles perform above and beyond expectation. I work around oil, hydraulic fluid, and thermal fluid constantly. I've yet to lose footing.3) The steel toes do not chaffe or bother the tops of my feet.4) They have gotten so comfortable that I wear the second pair out and about as daily casual boots.These boots are wonderful and I believe I have found my go to boot from here on out.
