Good quality, solid, comfortable

Until I somday get a pair of White's made for myself, I need to buy decent boots. These seem to fit the bill pretty well - the upper could be a heavier leather, but it's holding up pretty well so far; my somewhat hard-to-fit feel are doing well in these (I have a narrow heel and barely-medium front of foot and a long second toe). For the price I think they're great. I don't expect them to be my forever boot, but in a couple years if I wear these out and I'm not ready to shell out for White's yet, I'll likely get another pair.My only day-to-day complaint is that the lace hooks are kinda funky; I can't speed-lace with these hooks because they're so small that I have to be careful to actually hook the lace. Minor nit, really, and these hooks look less likely to bend.Strongly recommend swapping the laces with Obenauf's, which are super heavy duty and *will not come untied*. I don't even have to double-knot them, they just don't come undone - and they won't melt if you kick some hot coals in your burn pile.

Tough and most durable boot I ever had.

Very comfortable boots. Been wearing this style for fifteen years now. I’ll never change. They last a long time also.

Decent boot

First thing I noticed was the leather seemed a bit soft. After wearing them for 3-4 months at work they've got some decent cuts. Otherwise they're a bit stiff but they broke in well. Super aggressive tread that can make them feel a little clunky but works great.

Light years ahead of redwing

On a scale of 1-10, break-in was a 3, but these boots are fantastic. Better than a comparable Red Wing boot. I’ve worn numerous pairs of similar Redwings and have had nothing but trouble. Only negative on these is the laces are not that great but $2 worth of new laces fixes that. Update: I’ve been wearing these for over 2 years and they are still hands down the best boot I’ve ever worn. These are worn on construction sites and in a power plant. They are great in the snow and I’ve even hiked in them. I’ve attached photos to show what they look like 30 months later as I’m treating them and replacing laces. The soles are beginning to collapse and I think I’ll be buying a new pair in a few months. Nothing lasts forever but these boots die trying.

Highly recommended.

These are my second pair of this model of boot. First pair lasted 4 seasons of construction related work. i recommend the wide size. its not much wider than the regular, but makes standing in them all day much more comfortable. Quality boot. i expect to purchase these again in 4 years. issues i have had with other boots in the past is the width of the steel toe... past boots have a narrow or pinch point where the boot transitions into the steel toe but these do not. in fact, the first day i put them on they felt the same as my boots with 4 seasons on them. I actually still wear the old boots, they have just lost their water-resistance. Way cheaper than other brands yet superior quality of the expensive brands.

Break them in!

Bought these for my husband because his old pair of 4 yrs heavy use and little care finally cracked. They have been his favorite boots since he got them for a logging job. They had since been through many construction and logging jobs and seen all types of weather. He loves them because of their durability, flexibility, comfort and weather resistance. Be sure to oil them well and regularly for longer boot life and best weather protection. It does take some time to break them in as any quality leather boot should but it's well worth it.

Wide is too narrow

I hate to have to write this, but these boots are way to narrow for me and I ordered the "wide". The boots are superb looking and look to be of superior build quality but just can't comfortably fit. Here's some info to put in perspective. My other pair of steel toe boots are regular width, not wide, and measure a half to three quarters of an inch wider than this boot in a so called wide. These Georgia boots are mounted onto Vibram soles. The good news with this, along with the goodyear welt construction is that the sole can be re-ordered and replaced. What appears to be the bad news is that from what I can tell Vibram only makes one width of sole. What that implies is that Georgia is limited to how wide they can make this boot based on this sole. If the so called wide is narrower than the mediums I usually wear with no problem, I'd hate to see Georgia's medium width. Actually I suspect that it is the same width boot without the "W" printed on the label. Sorry, that's an educated guess. So here's specifically where the narrow problem is a deal breaker:1. They squash the widest part of my foot at the base of my toes. This is occurs at the widest part of the boot before the boot tapers in at the toe so ordering a longer / larger (13 versus 12) boot would not fix this in theory.2. The boot tapers in where those bones stick out of sides of my ankles and rubs on them. This hurt after 15 minutes of wear. I'd hate to see an hour.3. If I have to "break in" a pair of boots to this extent first my feet are going to break, and next my broken feet will break the boots. Both undesired consequences. In summary, if I had narrow feet, I speculate that these could be new favorite boot. I don't. Actually, I've never had to order a wide, I've always worn mediums and have been alright. I ordered wides based on the boots looking narrow in the picture and a suggestion from another reviewer. It's a damn shame. Otherwise these boots look as good as others have said. I might have to go to a physical store and try on some boots next.
