Just bought my 2nd pair. The first pair were worn for 12 years, in fact still mow grass in them. Very comfortable, wide width, durable. If I’m still around in 12 years, I’ll buy my 3rd pair.
Great pair of boots for daily wear. Very comfortable.
I had a pair of these Chukka boots that saw heavy use in my shop for several years. Back then all of the customer comments always mentioned how super comfortable they were and the fact that they were sized large so a person should order 1/2 size smaller. Considering the abuse and chemicals I work with those boots were extremely durable for such a lightweight boot.In reality the boots are close to the length their listed size shows. They instead run a bit wide and have foam embedded inside those large soles which is why they are so comfortable for standing on hard surfaces all day.The tread pattern is shallow and not designed for hiking through heavy rocks and mud which also means these shoes won't carry big clumps of mud in with you to later be scattered inside your home. Instead the shallow ribs are good for firm fairly smooth floors like cement, tile, and wood but the tread is flexible enough for "rock hopping" which I sometimes do for my work.Another small bonus is while they don't claim to be waterproof you can stand in 2" deep water for a few minutes and stay dry.Bottom line is if you are looking for all day comfort on hard floors these boots are a great choice.
Just bought my third pair.First pair lasted a long time(at least two years) with daily wear. Very comfortable.Second pair was not as comfortable and the eyelets had a rough spot that kept eating laces. I haven’t worn the third pair yet(I machined the eyelets on the current pair and I’m still wearing them). I’m hoping the third pair will be as good as the first.
Really like these but because of the lower cut just above the ankle they feel a bit loose at the back. My heel tends to lift from the bottom slightly when I walk but I haven't had any problems with excessive rubbing or soreness. . May just need more breaking in. Tying them good and tight helps but eventually they become a bit loose after a time. A cushion around the inside top edge might help if they were about a half inch taller there. Very comfortable, great leather and the soles are awesome. Nice for work or casual wear. A big thumbs up.
In need of a new pair of work chukka's, I ordered these Georgia Chukka Boots, as per many feedback suggestions, 1/2 size smaller than my normal boot size. Excellent advise in that respect. These boots fit like a glove right away. Super comfy! Workmanship is solid, with quality leather, stitching, and sole. They are a really nice looking boot and a pleasure to wear. Also, not one for throw-away shoes, the fact that these boots can be resoled factored heavily in my buying decision. I like 'em! A great pair of chukka's at a fair price.
Great Boots out of the box. Very little break in needed! The lightweight sole has good traction on a bunch of different surfaces and is a little easier on the tired old feet at the end of a day hard at it. The Leather smells and feels top notch(SPR). I ordeed a half size smaller than my normal size of 10W and they fit a touch loose still. Better a hair loose than a hair too tight!! The inside lining is very nice and a nice pair of laces finish off the boot. With minimum maintenance this pair of boots should last a goodly amount of time. Thanks Georgia Boots, another winner!
Per other reviews I ordered a half size down and the fit was right on. They look good, should hold up well and my wife likes them because they don't track much dirt and mud into the house. My only disappointment, and it's fairly important to me, is that the insole doesn't seem to be removable. Like most footwear, they don't have adequate support for my feet. So, I usually replace the insoles. Not with these. If I had known I would either have ordered a larger size to add an insole or not purchased them. My mistake. We'll see how my feet feel after a couple of 16 hour days.
