I love these boots a LOT!!! I’d wear them more often if I could but I feel they’re a little on the dressier side. They are sexy but super comfortable which is sometimes a hard combination to find. I’m quite pleased that I purchased these!
You could tell these were the Franco Sarto brand’s top of the line. You could tell from the interior construction of the boot’s calf. I’ve got a 16.5” calf and these barely zipped up, but if you’re below that, you should be ok. I ended up going with a different pair, but if these weren’t $200, I may have kept them.
Good looking boots that are really comfortable.
These boots did not fit me. I returned immediately and followed all instructions. The return was acknowledged, I've talked with representatives twice via On Line Chat. They tell me my refund will be issued. Three months...no action! I have not received my $300!
Very happy with these boots, and glad that the calf measurement is so generous! For those who have larger calves, or just want to wear jeans under the boots and have some room left, these are great. Considering how different everyone's bodies are, it was nice that the brand gave the calf measurement in the listing. While this may not work for some due to being too big, it may also not work for some due to being too small while also working for some perfectly. While it doesn't fit perfectly over here either, its hard to complain about a boot opening size being too big or small when it is stated in the listing. Furthermore, it would be impossible to fit every person and many boots have small calf openings which limit what they can be worn with and who can wear them.Quality wise - I appreciate the softer leather as it makes them more comfortable. Mine arrived in pristine brand new condition and had all of the proper packing in them to keep the shape. At first I thought they were 2 different sizes but realized the cardboard shaper was still in one. I have owned this brand before and wasn't a fan of the more stiffer leather on pairs I've previously worn. So, while some may see this as a quality difference I can't personally really say I think there's diminished quality just a different material.
These boots are pretty fantastic for any winter/boot wardrobe! I got them in black (I’m an 8-8.5 and these fit me perfectly with some socks on.) and they fit well around my calves, though they’re a bit loose but I chalk that up to having rather skinny calves. The heel is a nice height without being intimidating and they are really well made boots (very nice to the touch and overall just nicely constructed) so the heel is just about as high as it needs to be before your feet start cramping based on principle alone. I think they work great with skirts of varying lengths and, of course, most dresses as well but they also work really well with denim (skinny jeans!) and leggings (think leggings and a sweater you can roll around in or maybe an oversized blazer or something that’s about duster length). I suppose you can wear them with just about anything if you can manage the rest of the styling since these are fairly classic in style and obviously quite versatile!
I love boots and always wanted a pair of knee-high boots to wear out during the winter season. I saw these and loved how they looked. Sadly, after trying them these boots will not go up my calves! I have never had this problem before because my feet tend to be more narrow and my calves are huge but they aren't small enough for these boots. This made me sad because these boots are gorgeous and incredibly well-made! Other than these boots not fitting, they fit great in the foot area and didn't feel too small but if I can't even zip them up then I can't wear these out. So before buying these, please keep in mind that these are meant for smaller calves.
First, let me say that I love Franco Sarto, and I love the style of the boots, the look and the feel.Just a little underwhelmed by the quality.The pros:True to size with room to spare. Normally 8.5-9 but feet are wide. I got these in a 9 and have some room left to spare.The leather is soft.They are super comfortable, and made for walking.I Like the inside of the boot, it could hold a or DL or credit card/inside boots.I like the style.Cons: the construction of these could be a little better.They arrived with some paint chipping on both of the boots.Visible creasing on the boots, they don’t look to be worn at the bottom, just have some visible quality issues.I do hope this is an isolated incident and that this isn’t the case with all of these particular styled boots. Because they are comfortable, soft and look nice.
