Very nice leather, good non slippery treads hits right below my knee (5’4”. Fit both calves great one is 17” the other a hair bigger at 17 1/8th. Zip easily. Bought both black and brown.
Beautiful boots but very uncomfortable in the back of your knees
My calves circumference measurements (17") on the left and (16 1/4") on the right.This boot shaft has room for thick sock with jeans. The boot fits well on my foot, and are suitable for walking. The pebble leather is soft to the touch yet durable without being excessively heavy.I wore them with a midi sweater dress with side splits and received favorable compliments. I recommend the brand. Good purchase for me.
I was hesitant about purchasing these boots because of the number of comments about the wide calf; however, they went on sale, so I bought three colors (black, brown, and olive). The wide calf comments were partially correct. Where there is usually a bit of elastic at the top of many boots for stretching to accommodate a wider calf, this boot is just wider at the top. If you don't have a large calf, they pucker at the top on the outer side of the boot.To correct the issue, I took the boots to my Cobbler. Since the leather is not too stiff, he was able to cut out the extra leather and insert a seam at the top of the boot, so it fits better around the top of my calf. The zipper is in the back, so the seam did not affect the zipper; it remains straight...but the boots fit like a glove at the top of my calf. The price for the modification was minimal, so the boots still turned out to be far less than they were at full price. I now really like these boots!
I really wanted to love these boots. They were week late and the anticipation was real. The boots themselves are really cute but I do not have large calves and these were made for larger calves so these are not meant for me. I love the bottom part of the boot but the upper part looks silly on me. Also they slip on my heal when I walk. I think I will have to return them...booo.
Gorgeous knee boots right out of the box!!! I especially loved the look of the "lug" soles. The boots did NOT feel heavy to me because of the lug soles as others have stated. It's a hit and miss finding knee boots which fit my calves. I can squeeze into most knee boots with or without regular pantyhose, but NOT with leggings or jeggings. Since I plan to start using winter tights, fitting will be a challenge, so I ordered these Wide Calf boots. OMG, they are EXTREMELY wide so much I could probably fit my wallet & cell phone... no kidding, that's how wide they fit me. Unfortunately, w/b returning. I found Gentle Souls Knee Boots which have a Stretchy/knit back side and they fit and feel amazing!!! Tho they are spendy.
I love the color. Fits perfectly.
