Love love love these boots!! I am a huge fan of FLY LONDON and own several pair of their shoes and get many compliments on them. I hunted for quite some time to find these particular boots made in Portugal instead of China.I wear an 8 in a tennis shoe and always order 39 in European sizes (info for those not familiar). These gorgeous leather midcalf FLY LONDON boots are very well made and not at all pinchy in the toe box like so many other brands, very comfortable. Purchased specifically for bare leg, the fit is perfect and got that good good sole too!Couldn't be happier!!
I'm between a 6.5 and 7--EU 37 size fits me perfectly, and this is no exception. Plenty of toe room and can wear with thick socks and no slipping. These are sturdy, well made, great looking boots. I don't usually spend this kind of money on shoes, but in this case I'm glad I treated myself. I think they will last a long time, and what awesome colors--beautiful inside and out. Love that the soles are rubber and so hopefully won't crumble like the dansko-type soles do over time.
What a fantastic boot! From the color (I got the chestnut brown) to the fit, they're perfect. I wear all my Fly shoes right out of the box with no break in period and couldn't be happier. The mid calf height is especially perfect for petite women like me, as knee high boots tend to go over my knees and look funny. The leather on these boots has a satiny sheen and is soft, supple yet thick and sturdy. The zipper glides up and down smoothly and the fit on my average size calves and ankles is perfect. There's just enough of a heel to give you some height and a nice cushion when you're walking a lot or on hard surfaces. The toe box accommodates my slightly wide feet and a thin sock without any problem. I couldn't be happier! Try Fly and I guarantee you'll become addicted. These are probably my tenth pair and worth every penny!
Such great boots. Very comfy & industrial stylish! I went with the red, but may need to get the Petrol too. I think the more scuffed the get the cooler they’ll be!
I wear a size 7 and got a 37, which - in my opinion - is the correct size (Amazon suggests 38 for 7s... I disagree!). The boot is nice. The calves are snug, which is how I like taller boots. The ankle room is a bit wider than I'd like, but it works. Overall, a nice looking boot. Looks and feels durable AND nice.
I was drawn to this boot because most of the reviews said that they had a narrow boot shaft. While I don’t have chicken legs, I do have slender legs. They fit my calves pretty well! I have a little bit of wiggle room but not much! I’m 5’10” and 145 lbs. Usually boots are gaping on me! I have also worn them for all-day shifts at work and they are comfortable ( I am a restaurant manager). They are the right mix between combat boots and a casual wear-it- all! The next time I need a new pair of boots I will definitely order from this brand again!
These boots are keepers. I will be sending back the other taller Fly boots with the slouchy ankles, but these boots keep their shape and have that wonderful Fly comfort right out of the box. Plus they are very flattering for my height and size. I love their little bit of edge. For reference I am 5'5" and wear a 10-12 in clothes. I do not have thick ankles or large calves--they are just average. I love the shape of these boots, and the silhouette as well as the height is flattering for someone my size. I wear them with leggings or skinny jeans, but probably would look equally fab with a skirt.
These are really neat boots and seem comfortable and edgy …. but the other comments left by buyers are right. These run very small. I wear an 8 and the 8-8.5 were difficult to put on. The footbed is narrow and the area around the ankle is also very narrow so you have to work to get your foot in…. The length is about right for an 8.I wear an orthotic insert, so there's no way that's fitting. Unsure going up will solve that issue as the overall boot is very small.Size up. If you are an 8 (39) definitely go for the 9 (40)>
