These "chukka boots" by Florsheim are what we old U.S. Navy veterans call "boondockers." They were my favorite footwear back when I was in the Navy, very comfortable, rugged, and serviceable. These shoes are almost exactly like the old Navy issue. (Except, perhaps, having fewer lace eyelets ?) The uppers are made of properly tanned REAL LEATHER, unlike a lot of the crap being sold today which is made from some substance made from shreds of leather held together in plastic, and still advertised as "leather". They will take a proper spit shine. They are also made in such a way that they can be re-soled when they become worn, if you can still find a competent cobbler to do it. I highly recommend them, they are well worth the price.
I have purchased and worn many Brands over the years. My dad was always a mail order Florsheim guy so I decided to give them a try. I am a teacher in my feet all day long. I need aomething thst is comfortable and durable. What I find living in the tropics is that any shoe or boot that does not have a stitched on sole (compared to glue on) will come off typically within 2 yrs. This boot us under 200 bucks and looks and feels nice. The size feels a bit wider for my feet. I have orthotics I usually wear and the extra room I thought would be good. The shoe fits comfortable enough I havent actually used the orthotics in this shoe.. If you want a nice casual chukka boot that doesn't break the bank then this is your shoe..
These are really nice looking, well made and comfortable chukka boots. They are of nice quality, look to be well made and look good. I am impressed so far by these boots. I do recommend them.
Incredibly comfortable and versatile. Great but overall.
Best boot ever!!!
These fit just just right for slightly wide feet. Great product, purchased 2.
I love the comfort of these chukkas right out the gate. I wore them out for a family X-Mas pic and they didn't disappoint. They match a lot of outfits but because they're not shiny, they can be worn as a casual piece. Lastly, they have rubber soles with pretty good grip. I've tested them out in rain and snow and they're great.
