The Eddie Bauer Mont Lake Hiking Boots shine in multiple aspects, making them a top choice for outdoor enthusiasts. The waterproof feature is especially beneficial during unexpected rain or when traversing through wet environments. With the multi-directional lugs, you can confidently tackle muddy or rocky trails without fear of slipping.
Comfort is paramount during long hikes, and that's where the memory foam insole comes into play. It molds to your foot shape, providing excellent support that reduces fatigue and helps prevent blisters, thanks to the heel stabilizer. Coupled with the gusseted tongue, these boots keep debris out, allowing you to focus solely on the trail ahead.
However, while they boast numerous advantages, some users have reported that the boots require a bit of breaking in, which can be an inconvenience for those eager to hit the trails right away. Furthermore, their robust build adds some weight, which may be a consideration for ultralight backpackers.
Overall, the Eddie Bauer Mont Lake Hiking Boots are a solid investment for anyone looking to combine style, protection, and comfort on their trekking adventures.

Nicely made boot.Good sizing and comfortable for winter hiking with a thick sock.I sprayed them with water repellent just to be on the safe side and that kept them clean my feet dry.Very happy with them.
Boots feels great but I did buy a insert c I always do with new boots. Comfortable light weight. Very happy with purchase. Wow recommend..
these fell apart after 3 months occasional use. facts!
A few days after I got these, I was walking and the left loop from my right shoelace hooked the right hook on the left shoe, causing me to almost fall on my face. It ripped the hook entirely off the left shoe. On the right shoe the steel bent inside the shoe on the right hand hook but has caused no issues. The laces have an inner elastic core with an outter sleeve which slides like mad and bunches up. The insides were a pass, though not very comfortable. The shoes are holding up rather well on the job, but both laces were trashed.
Looks are deceiving. No padding, makes for a very loose fit. Stitching is poor at best. Who ever is making Bauer clothing just bought the name because quality is not here.
I got these in Jun, wear then for daily at home work boot so 2-3 hrs a day and probably 1 day on the weekends, and they insoles are already shot. I figure a set of bargain store brands once a year, and these did about half that.
I have RA and these shoes work best for me this is my second pair and I will be picking up a couple more in the next month.
