Easy Spirit Women's DOTTLE3 Flat Sandal, Ivory 150, 9.5 Wide Review

These are very comfortable sandals and seem to be well made. My usual size was too large, so I ended up getting them a size smaller, which fit perfectly. My one wish is that the ankle straps were a little wider. They feel a little flimsy for the weight of the shoe. They should be fine though for my intended use.

Cute shoe. Runs small interms of length but the width was good. Had to return.

This sandal is so comfortable and sturdy. I like Easy Spirit shoes and sandals as they are made strong.

I wish the ankle strap was thicker and the strap itself longer. My feet have a tendency to swell in the summer. That strap won’t fit on days when my feet are big.

Normally wear an 8, decided reviewstended to note order size smaller. So glad I did. Fit great, look wonderful. I have thinner ankles though so if annkles tend to thickness, strap may be too short. There are spots on the inside wher a seam could rub and since I have “Princess & the Pea” feet, i lines them with dr. Schols moleskin. Perfect.

I exchanged a size 8 for a size 7 1/2. There was no difference in the fit. The shoes are still too wide and too long. The sole is completely flat with no arch support. If these are real Easy Spirits their quality has declined exceedingly, Buyer beware,

Initially I really liked these. They fit well and then over the Course of several days to weeks they stretched and now are a half size too long. It makes it very uncomfortable to wear and walk in. I am constantly trying to move my foot forward in them. I have at least 1/2 inch of toe room. My first pair was 9.5 which is standard size, I returned those for a 9 which foot looked nice in. Now I would say they should have been an 8.5 to start .I’d re-consider buying.

I've worn Easy Spirit sandals since my freshman year of University (2000). Every summer I look for a classy sandal that can be worn casual (with jeans) and dressy (with a cocktail dress). I love to swing dance so I prefer a quarter strap to keep the sandal on my feet, and sleek narrow straps--because they're more elegant. In recent years Easy Spirit has increasingly had chunkier/sportier sandals. Some sandals have had such high arch support that they felt like hard marbles under my arches. My last pair of truly elegant Easy Spirit sandals was the patent leather Responda (black, white, and turquoise with contrasting white toe strap) in 2013. Nothing since has been comparable in comfort or timeless style, until this year’s Dottle 3.The Dottle 3 sandals have arch support that feels like a soft pillow cushioning my arches as I walk. I can walk for miles in these sandals. I wore my Ivory pair for a week in Disneyworld in June and for 2-3 mile daily walks for the remainder of the summer--they’re divinely comfortable. The quarter strap at the ankle and crisscross straps at the tow keep my feet in place and have just enough room to allow for feet swelling throughout the day without feeling too tight at the end. Both the all-back sandals and the ivory with gold-contrast-strap are elegant choices that I’ve worn all summer. I would purchase the navy with silver-contrast-strap if it had a navy outsole--the white outsole makes them too casual to be useful in my wardrobe.I took off a star for three reasons. These sandals run a half-size large (a la Vicky sandals in Easy Spirit’s 2005 collection); I sized down to a 7.5M from an 8M and they fit perfectly. I prefer a buckled strap to the Velcro because it’s more elegant and more reliable: although I’ve had no trouble with the Velcro coming undone on these sandals. The upper is synthetic and I prefer genuine leather, although the synthetic is high quality and one cannot tell they’re not leather by looking at them.I hope Easy Spirit continues to offer variations on the Dottle 3 sandals (turquoise and a Crimson dark-red would be lovely) in future seasons: I’d buy them every year!
