I have been looking for a leather loafer at every store and was unable to find a true penny loafer. So to Amazon I went. These shoes are amazing, the leather is very soft and the shoes are well made. The insoles are very comfortable. As all new shoes they are a little tight but leather always stretches after time. When you first put them on they are tight but after about 15 minutes they feel comfortable ( this happens for the first few times you wear them). Each time I wear them they get more comfortable.I am always leery buying shoes online because I never know what size to get 7 1/2 or 8??I started with the 8, it was too big, I even tried the adhesive pads that stick to the heel and they still were too big and slipped off my heel. So I then exchanged for a 7 1/2 and they worked. (Love the try before you buysI included a trace of my foot showing the length and width of my foot so you can see the measurements for a size 7 1/2 hope that helps.
Eastland slip ons are beautiful shoes. This particular size ran to tight and I had to return them.
I gave this 4 stars because the left shoe fits me just fine, but the right shoe is a little large in the heel. They are both wonderfully wide, and I usually have a hard time finding wide shoes that fit! I will need to buy an insert for the heel to keep the shoe from falling off. Also, the color is too dark for my liking. I bought the Burgundy shoes in a 10W, but they look almost black. Still, they feel like a quality shoe and I will wear them with jeans and other casual pants. I did place shiny new pennies in them, they look so cute!
The first time I ordered this shoe, it was a 7.5 W and it was too long. Couldn't keep it on my feet while trying to walk. Re-ordered the shoe in a 7 W and the Right shoe fit perfect but the left shoe clearly was shorter and thus didn't fit well. Returned a 2nd time and re-ordered for another round, the size 7 W. This time both the Right and Left shoe fit the same but were more snug than I care to wear them. Frustrated, I returned them and have given up. Will have to try in store or another Brand and hope for a more accurate sizing.
I wanted classic black loafers and am pleased with these although I bought Bass in the past, but their prices have really gone up. Sticker shock for me when I expected to pay 100$ or less for Bass Weejuns. I did not realize loafers were so popular now, I have been wearing them for forty years or more I guess! These EASTLAND loafers are nice leather, well constructed and just a nice traditional Classic loafer. They are comfortable and I appreciate the rubber sole and heel now that I’m older over the leather sole and stacked wooden heels of loafers I bought years ago. I did have to try three different sizes and two different widths before finding the proper fit. Finally after mailing shoes back/forth with a popular online shoe company, I looked at Amazon and saw these loafers in narrow width, took a chance, ordered them and they are perfect. They came quickly and I am happy! So thankful I tried the narrow width even though I’ve worn B width for decades.
I just opened the box for these 5 minutes ago. I had a pair of the early 70s version when I was in high school with the thick hard leather and stacked heel. These...are different. I got the box opened and kicked off the Ugg mocs I use for slippers and put them right on. MORE COMFY THAN MY UGG MOCS! The leather is soft and pliable. The 11, my true size, fits like a dream. There's more padding than I expected. The old versions had no padding at all, just a hard leather sole and a thin leather lining on the inside bottom. These are much more elegant too. Unless you have problem feet, you can wear these without socks easily. They are not cutting into my Achilles tendon because they are cut low enough in the back to not sit there but they still do not slip on my feet when I walk. Amazon suggested I order a 12 but that would have been very wrong. I used to be a 10N but now am an 11M. You just have to know your own feet.
This is my second pair I bought and I love them. They last for years. They run a little small but they do stretch in time as you wear them.
I absolutely adore these penny loafers! They're not only incredibly cute but also remarkably comfortable. The only minor issue I encountered is that I usually wear a 7 1/2 or an 8, and I went with a 7 1/2. If I don't wear socks, they fit perfectly, but with socks, they're a tad loose. Regardless, I highly recommend them for their stylish look. Penny loafers are the fashion trend this year, and these don't disappoint.
