This is my 3rd pair of Eastland Tracies. They are well built. The only disappointment with this pair is the top of the shoe where my foot goes in is very tight compared to my older pairs and my other Eastland shoes. That makes them very snug and some what difficult to remove after a long day.The pros... High quality leather, sturdy soles, room for toes. Also, I really appreciate the heal height not too high not too flat. These like most Eastlanders are comfortable to walk or stand in. They provide a solid support and a better sole than many competitor's that use a more slippery lookalike.
This is actually the second pair of the same shoes I've owned, the first ones were chewed up by my dog last year (see, even he loves them!) I use these primarily as a passenger on a motorcycle, the soles are very thick which prevents a lot of the vibration being transferred to my feet and legs. I've tried many many other shoes and boots on the bike and these are by far the best all around, and they are not too warm to wear walking around in the hot summer months. I also wear them quite often in the winter as they work out well in light snow. They are the most comfortable all around shoe, I do put a Dr. Scholl's insert in them when I know I'll be walking a lot in them for some extra support. They are a bit snug and difficult to get on when you first get them, because the opening is small and doesn't have much stretch, but they will break-in very quickly and become easier. I saw some other reviews about toes getting jammed in the front of the shoe, and I have the complete opposite where there's almost too much room for my toes to move around. I also like the fact that these don't look clunky like some other clogs might, they look surprisingly "sleek" on my foot, I don't get that "clown shoe" look like with other similiar styles I've tried.
I like these shoes so much that I just purchased another pair in black. I had a similar pair of shoes from another brand and after a few hours they would dig into the top of my foot to the point where I had to take them off. This pair is comfortable and doesn't do that. I ordered them in wide and find them easy to slip on and off. They are just slightly too big (probably due to them being in wide width), but not so much that they slip up and down or anything. The shoe looks nice too and I like that they look good with both slacks and regular blue jeans. I don't normally spend this much on shoes, but these were worth it. I've only had mine a week, so can't speak for how long they last, but they appear well made.
First off, the shoes were tight the first time I put them on, but they stretch. By the 3rd time, they were perfect - not too tight and not too loose. Love the color - I got brown and there more of a medium brown. They are comfortable (after stretching) and they are easy to put on. Look great with jeans. Wish they had more colors to choose from - I'd buy a lot more.
These shoes look great, and they fit perfectly. They also feel good when I first put them on, but there is no arch support in them. I've alread worn them to work one time, or I would return them. I don't know what to do with them, except maybe donate to a charity. There was no deceptive advertising.. and no claim to have any kind of support. I should have been more careful. No hard feelings.
I got these a few years ago and am still able to wear them. Unlike some other shoes with the higher heal, these are still in good repair and the angle and internal contour is comfortable. I like that these are just a smidge larger than my other work shoes, because it allows me to wear thicker socks with them in the winter time. These shoes can be polished with similarly colored shoe polish to keep them looking shiny and nice. I also like how they don't allow water in and that they have a good grip on the ground. Good with slacks.
Returned as too hard for mother to slip on. Very limited stretchability at the top. However, very comfortable once you get your foot in. Fits true to size.
I owned another style of Eastland shoes and was impressed with how well they held up so I thought I would try another pair when I finally wore that pair out. I wanted something that could pass for dressy or casual and these fit the bill. The heel is a nice height and sturdy where I don't feel wobbly on them. They were tight to get on at first, but the little spot of elastic these have gave it the right amount of stretch. They're broke in now and fit nicely, not too loose or tight. Love the dark brown color also.
