The Eastland Newport has garnered significant attention for its blend of comfort and style. The cushioning provided by the pillow sock insole sets a high bar for all-day wear, reducing foot fatigue even during extended periods of walking or standing. Additionally, the unique Opanka stitch-to-sole construction allows for greater flexibility compared to traditional glued shoes, ensuring that your feet can move naturally.
In terms of versatility, this loafer suits a variety of outfits and occasions, whether you are dressing up for a casual dinner or keeping it simple on a weekend outing. The classic brown leather finish adds an elegant touch that makes it easy to pair with almost anything in your wardrobe.
However, it’s important to consider that while numerous customers appreciate the cozy fit, some report that sizing might run smaller than expected. It's advisable to try them on or refer to sizing guidelines before purchase. Furthermore, although the design is appealing, there are limited color options available for those looking for more variety.

I usually wear penny loafers but my many pairs of Bass Weejuns were all making my feet hurt, running around a TV studio all day. I wanted something more supportive. And comfortable. Like a slipper but with arch support, and something that I could get away with wearing to an office that doesn’t allow sneakers. These fit the bill. I’m usually an 8.5, got a 9 and they fit perfectly. Not much in the looks department, and I would never wear them to a concert or for a night out or anything, but they’ll do the trick for work. Color and material: I think the brown would probably look better than the tan - my tan shoes remind me of a baseball glove. I don’t know what kind of leather this is but it seems durable, a little shiny, and doesn’t really show creases or too many scuffs.
Comfortable- supporting my arch as well I’m hoping the sole doesn’t crack like I’ve seen in other reviews. I’ll update if it does.
These Eastland slip ons look great, slip on and off easily but stay put while you walk around all day. Ideal for the airport or other places where you need to slip in and out of your shoes. Built well, last for long periods of time, slip proof bottoms for winter in Wisconsin. The fit as expected, a bit wide in the toe box (which i prefer) but snug along the sides. Arch support is ok but not the point with these shoes. Great for office casual.
These look and feel great! Very comfortable. They can be worn for dress or casual, very versatile. Nice quality and durable.
I have always love this eastland “Newport” style boot. It is my all time favorite shoe and favorite boot for me. This is likely my 10th pair over 15 years. I Love love it when it’s new -clean, neat quality looking leather (tight at first) , but it looks good even in the corporate office... Once they break in and the leather gets a bit scarred up, I then have THE ultimate casual shoe/boot. The leather wears beautifully. When the boots get really, really old, they become my trusty garden/work boots. Can you tell I love these boots? Remember they are tight at first, but they have some kind of a comfy memory foam around the inside ankles and base that break in beautifully to fit your foot. I’ve never had blisters with these boots, even when they’re tight. I’ve also ordered a half size bigger, I find that they just end up being a bit loose in two years. but then at that point your using them as garden, garage boots and if you slip them off As you transition in and out of house, , it’s an easy removal!. I’d be devastated if they ever stopped carrying this design.
I owned a pair of these for over 10 years. They are so comfortable and well made. However, this pair is so small I cannot wear them. I thought maybe they just needed stretching out so I wore them to work one day. I had to take them off every couple minutes because it was cutting off my circulation. Unfortunately, because I tried to wear them I can’t send them back anymore. There is no way possible these are a size 10. I don’t have wide feet, almost every pair of shoes I own is a 10 M. The previous Eastlands I had were a 10. My only option is to try and sell them. I recommend sizing up at least one size. Good luck
Pure leather, although stiff and needs to be broke in, I would definitely recommend
Love these shoes...I have wide feet due to an injury, these fit great. I ordered my regular size and they were a perfect fit.
