Detailed Review

Design and Aesthetics: The Eastland 1955 Edition exudes a timeless charm, reminiscent of classic workman's boots. Its distressed leather finish not only adds character but helps hide scuffs, making these boots perfect for both urban settings and outdoor adventures.

Comfort: One standout feature is the EVA footbed combined with a supportive shank, which significantly reduces foot and leg fatigue during prolonged wear. The plush fleece lining works wonders in wicking away moisture, keeping your feet dry and comfortable.

Durability: Designed with triple reinforced stitching and a mini-groove sole, these boots are built to last. The combination of leather and manmade materials ensures a resilient structure that can tolerate daily use without sacrificing comfort.

Fit and Sizing: As with any handcrafted footwear, sizing may vary. While many users find the boot true to size, it’s advisable to try them on first or check fitting guides offered by retailers.

Very comfortable and stylish!!!

I haven't worn boots in a while and was a little hesitant. But these boots are so comfortable it's almost like wearing sneakers. I was blown away! I was expecting them to be a little oversized and clunky but actually the exact opposite. Hopefully this "comfort" doesn't mean the won't last a while. The ONLY drawback is I bought 10 Wide shoes and they were a LITTLE snug, not as wide as I'd hoped. But definitely wearable without even being broken in. Maybe I should have gone up one size but nothing worth exchanging them over. So if you want WIDE, you may want to investigate a bit further. But if you want a boot you can actually walk around in and not look forward to taking off, these may be it!

Excellent Redwings imposters...

As the time of this writing, the Redwings 6-inch moc-toe boot is all the rage. If you're getting these strictly for style, these are virtually identical to the Redwings as far as the look, and for a third of the price. My issue with the Redwings is the close to $300 price tag (which I can afford but can't stomach) and the fact that they take 2-4 months to break in, which I don't have the patience or wherewithal for. They're also a heavy boot. These Eastland boots are well made, comfortable, affordable, true to size, and there's minimal break in. It's a soft leather that's comfortable right out of the box. They look fantastic with jeans or khakis, especially with a slim or tapered leg opening. You'll lose out on the aesthetics with "Dad jeans." Again, if wearing strictly as a casual boot for style, this is a great bet. For actual construction work or the like, Redwings might be a better choice.

Only buy on sale, good starter moc

I'm really glad I bought this as a first moc toe. I paid $75 on sale, and I'm glad I did. These look great and feel good. They will stretch out and they are not built for work, only casual wear. Do not buy these at full price. Anything $90 and below is good. Since I've broken them in they stretch. I bought a second pair 1 size down but in a wide because I like wide toe boxes. They look good, but will not last over a year for a man like me who's 6'5"/260lbs. These are fashion, and for me a great starter moc toe. Wait for a sale and get a pair for casual comfort wear. They are really bad in grip for rain, so be careful

Great boots! Great purchase

I got these for my husband about a year ago and a LOT of research went into them. He loves them and has basically worn them everyday to work. They are NOT construction boots. But he doesn’t work construction. He tells me they are very comfortable and the sole has not worn down as much as some reviews had suggested. They are semi prone to scuffing but they are leather so it is to be expected.Great quality, great comfort, fit is great. Whenever these wear out I will get him another pair. He really loves them a lot!
