Very nice boots, and comfortable without any pinching right out of the box. They are heavy leather, and a bit heavy on my feet, but I will get used to them. The green is more subdued compared to the color online, which I like better because it doesn't stand out, but just looks classy and rich as it is more olive green. The opening is very large at 15 inches, but it looks nice with a skirt and probably better with jeans tucked in. They were imported from China, but still with the good quality of the Durango Brand. The brown leather marks up easily, so I'm hoping some leather oil my help it, even if it darkens the color a little. These boots are made for wearing, so I'm not going to baby them.
Finally boots wide enough and comfortable to meet my feets orthopedic demands. made with comfort, movement, work, ridding and not ugly!! My bunion and plantar fasciitis aren't instantly angry plus the shaft is perforated for air. The brilliant addition is in the inner ankle and rear upper calf they engineerd it to give with a stretch to the seam that doesn’t instantly tear up your ankles when breaking them in. They do run a little big for what i have to typically get. I could wear a 6.5 but with my wide feet usually get a 7/7.5 to have comfort. I ordered a 7 wide and had plenty of room that i stuck one of my orthopedic inserts (7.5) in on top of the stock and still had enough wiggle room. The green/tan isn't my first pick in desire of appeal but i am looking for confort and functional as priority, they are still beautiful and well designed. The sole is perfect to meet non slip yet not to grippy that can make stirrups when ridding horses a issue. I have been looking for months to find a boot for ridding my horses that is wide and comfortable without the pain of breaking them in more difficult than breaking horses. These are first impressions but if a few months go by and that impressions is numbed with pain then i will update the review.
This is my second pair of Durango's , out of the they are perfection!! They're comfortable, great quality, awesome price (I usually purchase them on sale), and super cute!! Now for the however...this pair is difficult to get on and I get cramps in my sides/abdomen when taking them off. MY GOD!!! I was sweating from the struggle of taking them off. They are true to size. I normally wear a 10W & purchased 11W in case they were snug but had to exchange for my normal 10 which fit perfectly when able to my foot through the ankle part. Now I have the dilemma of deciding if i should keep them knowing I'll be fighting for my life every time I wear them or send them back & keep searching. The struggle is real to be cute. 😕🤔
I have always had trouble finding boots to fit my 17" calves. These fit amazing. I've had to stuff myself into other boots but these even give me a little extra room while still looking feminine. I may buy these in ever color because they're that good!
I have a high instep and finding comfortable boots has been hard. I am so excited that these boots feel great. They look amazing, too!
Awesome pair of boots that came in time also! I like the design and high quality! These boots were made for walking! 😎👍
I bought these from the store after returning a couple pairs on here because their sizing is so off! I normally wear an 8 and a half, or 9. I bought a 7 and a half in these boots! I bought them for my wedding, purple and blue were my colors and these were perfect! Until I wore them all day. My feet and hips were killing me by the end of my reception.... I thought ok, maybe they need to be "broke in" though I love my boots, and I have a bunch of pairs, Ariats, Tony Lamas, Double H, and even some Justin's..... Never have I had to brake in a pair of boots..... But I tried, and I tried, because they're my wedding boots and they were supposed to be special. But no, these boots make my feet ache after only an hour in them! And I know they aren't too small, like I said, I wear a lot of boots and I know how they should fit, heel slip and all.... The fit isn't the problem, it's the construct of the boots. I reached out to Rocky mountain footwear, the manufacturer of Durango boots, and they told me they couldn't help me because they have been worn..... Duh. So I'm just out $165 on a pair of boots I can't wear! Not only do they make a crap product, they also have crap customers service.....
