Only hiking boots I've found, after trying a couple dozen, that work for my wide in front feet. Very comfortable, waterproofing works well, and they look great too. Back does rub on the heal a bit much but I was able to get one of those sticky pad heel guard things that was cheap and have had no more problems. maybe just my narrow heels being the problem.
I have had them two months now and wear them to work, 12 hour shifts. They fit good and they are light. But they make so much squeaking noise they wake up people in my house when I am leaving for work. These boots are NOT work boots, they are hiking boots, but work pretty good for non electrical work. They have soft toes, so don't drop anything on your foot, but are a lot better than tennis shoes, and have good traction.
Love these. Fit perfectly. Have a narrow foot so the B width fits like a glove. Very light & obviously we’ll crafted. Complete quality.I was going to write about my world travels, hiking the Himalayas, crossing rivers in Africa in search of the perfect picture of cape buffalo, how many miles I’ve tracked, how they’re not waterproof when the water dumps in over the top of the boots. Duh. I mean seriously some of these reviews are like the history of the world in a biography of how amazing the shoe-wearer is. I mean come on just stick to the review of the product. It gives people a headache from being bored out of their mind trying to find out whether it’s narrow or wide or it’s quality, fit material etc.So goodbye for now my fellow buyers of Amazon stuff as I have a critically important appointment with a high-ranking official in a faraway country with exotic animals where it rains quite a bit but then doesn’t to discuss my shoe acquisition. Obviously way too much time on my hands with this pandemic going on
The 4e size fits me great. I tried on many other hiking boots in a wide width because I wear a wide width tennis shoe. I found out the only two hiking boots that come in 4e width is the Dunham and some new balance hiking boots. The Dunham boot has a better classic look, waterproof and also has a non slip sole. The new balance reviews were reporting a slippery sole. Very satisfied with the Ludlow.
I needed to replace my Vasque hiking boots but Vasque doesn't make Narrow widths in size 14 anymore.I frequently buy Dunham boots and shoes because they come in narrow widths.I knew from my Cloud-Low shoes that the soles have good traction on rocks.I am not sure why I selected these over the Cloud-Mid but I don't think there would be much difference. These boots don't have as much padding in the ankles or insoles as my old Vasque boots. I wanted to put some other insoles in them but they were too snug for that. Maybe after I have worn them some, I will be able to put some softer insoles in them.I wore them on a 13 mile rocky hike the week after I got them. There was no discomfort or blisters. My knees and hips took some pounding because of the thin insoles but I expected that.I wouldn't want to wear these backpacking but they will serve as my hiking boots for awhile.
I needed to return these boots as they were too narrow for my husband’s feet. I have bought Dunham boots before, no issues. When I received the refund it was only 1/2. Restocking fee I was told. When I inquired further I was told the boots were dirty and worn. My husband couldn’t even get the boot on, much less wear it around!!!! I am very disgusted with the company, and would strongly advise anyone to think twice before purchasing from them. They do not treat customers well!!
I have a narrow foot (12N or B). These are very comfortable. Walked 2 miles in first wearing, and no irritation. I’m lucky but Dunham and NB just fit me well, and they have multiple styles of boot in my size. I use an orthotic for high arches. Never had any Dunham that failed to accommodate the device or that was not comfortable right out of the box. They look good too.
Seems to be a fairly comfortable shoe. I would prefer a better quality insole. Very light boot and well made leather foot.
