I wear 7.5 in other brands but followed the reviews and ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly. I have flat feet and the shoes have enough support on the sides for me to feel comfortable wearing them. They are a bit heavy but I prefer them that way since it's easier to walk with.
I own 4 other pairs of docs in sandals, dress shoes, and boots and I am a solid 8 for all four; however, these do run big. I did try them on with doc socks and there is still a large gap by the heel. Don't worry if you have wide feet like myself bc the buckle straps are adjustable. Doc Martens are always cute yet functional, haha. I ordered a size down and I will leave another review once they arrive.
I am usually a 10.5 US/42EU. I ordered down to a 10 because reviews said they run big. Even with socks on the 10 is too big. I don’t know if a 9 would be too small, but the sizing isn’t the easiest.I did. wear them to the P!nk concert and danced in them all night and was comfortable.
These look and feel amazing even after recovering from foot surgery. They have the sturdiness of traditional Docs with the cuteness of a Maryjane all with the confidence of a platform block heel. Love is an understatement! I feel the way I want to feel while wearing Docs plus extra powerful and feminine.

I just bought these same shoes like six weeks ago and have worn them nearly every day since..PROS:* They are tall but that chunky heel makes them extremely stable. No wobble at all. (I'm 5'2").* They look perfect with both jeans and skirts/dresses. The double strap makes is so when you switch from socks to tights, you can change the instep to the perfect tightness, so still no wobble and no cutting of circulation.* They will probably last forever.* After I bought them, I sent a picture to my sisters-in-law asking if they thought I was too old for the shoes (I'm 48). One of them sent the shot to my 21-year old niece whose response was "No, they slay." So, I guess that means they're good. My 19-year old fashionista also approved. But mostly, I feel freaking rad when I wear them.CONS:* They're expensive.* They are heavy, which took a bit of getting used to, but it also gives my gait a bit of a forward whoosh to it that I find rather pleasing.* You might want to put an extra set of insoles in them, but that might just be me because I have extra insoles in every single pair of shoes I own (I like the Allbirds ones).Anyway, these are one of the best shoe purchases I've ever made. I love them.

Dr Martens, why are you making your shoes run larger????? Back in 2000, the first and last time I owned a pair of your boots, your size 5 fit me perfectly; I’m a true 5 1/2, sometimes a 6, in every other shoe out there. It makes absolutely no sense that your size 5 NOW fits me a 1/2 too big. Your youth size 4 fit me, but you don’t carry the styles I like in youth sizes. You must really love pissing people off and losing fans, potential customers. Bunch of dummies. Get your poo together!
