I liked you recommendation about size it really worked out
I’ve been a DJ Pliner loafers fan for years and have probably around 20 pairs at the moment, so I’m very familiar with both their ITALY vs CHINA made quality in BOTH CRAFTMANSHIP and RAW MATERIAL - both prices and material/finish quality are drastically different depending where they are made. While they make some models only in Italy and some only in China, it’s not unheard of that as time goes by abd a new color on its way added to Italian models, that this or some of that color is now made in China.Italian-made models not only have better craftsmanship, but the suede/leather is WAY more supple and buttery - it also doesn’t damage or soil easily. Lastly, soles for Italian-made tend to be leather vs rubber. These say ‘made in Italy’ and the suede DOES have the much better quality, but the craftsmanship is beyond questionable.Since brand new, the seams/sewing around the sides had a LOT of PUCKERING, and and the JOINTS on top front (see picture) are either VERY ROUGHLY GLUED SHOWING LOTS OF RAW HIDE or came UNGLUED all together after the first use.I had bought 2 pairs and returned the other pair that I had not worn yet.
Very uncomfortable shoes
