Donald Pliner shoes are always well-made, and these are too. The fit is also comfortable. I could wear with no socks or with a light-weight pair of socks. However, I didn't like the synthetic material combined with the patent. Also I didn't like the white stitching by the sole-it would have looked nicer if the stitching were black, since the rest of the shoe is black. That probably was the deal breaker for me, in that the shoes did not look that nice due to the material/stitching. I'm going to return them.
