I had a Rockport before this one but it was out of stock so I tried this one. It's comfortable and fits well. Maybe not as light as Rockport but a good buy.
The entrance of the shoe is very narrow, each time i slide my feet in, its a wrestling match and the stitching unfortunately tore. Once my feet are in, fits well and comfortable.
Have worn these for about 8 days now. They were a bit stiff when I first got them but were broken in by the end of the first day and now they're very comfortable. I'm a teacher and was looking for a casual-ish dress shoe I could slip on in the morning when running late and didn't want to pay a fortune. These are exactly what I was looking for. So far they seem durable and well-made.Other reviews mention issues with sizing. They're right -- the shoes seem to run small. But honestly that's true with most shoes; I'm a different size depending on the company (9.5 in Adidas, 10 in Reebok, 10.5 in Nike, etc). Check the size chart to clarify CM/Inches and you'll be fine. These fit me the same as Nike sneaks, if that helps.
Okay product; for reference, I sit behind a desk all day. After 2 years, the shoes began to fall apart; by year 3 they are in unacceptable condition (the bottom has ripped and water gets into the shoe if it’s raining out). If you’re on your feet a lot, I imagine they will fall apart much sooner. Nice cheap option, but will not last long. Also pretty ugly; I have gotten roasted for them before lol
A friend recommended Deer Stag shoes and I must say I do like this pair. Looks good, feels great. Now to see how it wears. I usually get about 9 months out of this priced shoe.
I won't wear leather, so finding a non-leather alternative at a reasonable price is great. They fit very well, can be used for all but the most formal occasions (or for mud wrestling), keep their look for a long time and otherwise wear well. Only negative (not a big one) was that the counters on the second pair were a little tight, so it took a while to break them in.
Bought this for my husband since he has big feet and hates the regular fit dress shoes. He enjoyed them well enough, didn't complain until the sole cracked about a year later. He works an office job, so how in the world they cracked? I have no idea. But just bought him a second pair today, so if you don't mind replacing shoes once a year for a reasonable price, I'd definitely recommend these. I'll take some pics later if I remember.
