Packaging was not easy. Not sure why they use those plastic tags holders. They got inside the slippers and were not easy to get out. Other than that, there were great.
I love these slippers! super comfy, easy to slip on, go great with anything. The only reason I gave 4 stars, is because they do pill on the outside. Still love them so much I got a a pair for my best friend.
I have been wearing Dearfoam slippers for over thirty years. I just love them. These are well-made, sturdy slippers. I like the thick sole. The slippers are comfortable. They have memory foam which makes it comfortable to walk in them. The outside of the slippers are thick, yet soft. The material is soft. I do not have to worry about my feet getting wet in these slippers. I ordered a large which is the right size. I know from experience to order a size up in slippers (I wear an 8 so I ordered 9-10). I got these slippers for wearing outside. I keep slippers by the door so I can slip them on before heading out to work in the yard or do various tasks. I do not have to worry about my feet sweating in these slippers. I found the soles to be non-slip. I had no trouble walking in the slippers on wet surfaces outside. There is a raised bit at the back of the slipper. After a couple of days of wearing the slippers, it goes down (my heel always ends up on this part). I never notice it after a few days. These are more for winter with their thicker construction. I like that the slippers are washable. If I get them dirty, I just toss them in the washing machine. I let them air dry. They are good to go in about twenty-four hours. These are comfortable, quality slippers.
So, I actually hate these slippers. They run small, and for some reason they've put a little lip on the heel. It's not tall enough to keep the slipper on your foot, but it's low enough that my heel is constantly coming down on it because these slippers run small. It's so annoying and it renders the slippers useless. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5, and I ordered the medium per the size chart. I've had several pairs of Dearfoams and have not had an issue with sizing. But these suck.
I really wanted to love these, because I'm a big fan of Dearfoams slippers in general. And these are very cool looking - they look like a lazy Sunday with some coffee and a good book. Sadly, I cannot say that I do love them, and here's why:1. They run VERY small. I wear a solid 8.5-9 shoe in most things...I always order slippers a size up just in case, which I did here. Somehow, they are still way too small and too narrow to comfortably fit my foot in. Like...it's not even close. Must be an issue with THIS particular model because other Dearfoams are not like this.2. The back is uncomfortable. It's supposed to keep your foot in I guess, but instead, because of the sizing issue, you are stepping ON that part, and it's not comfortable.3. Aside from being small, they are also tight. I'm sure that would loosen with time, but oof. It's REAL uncomfortable until then. It's probably, and ironically, because of the padding that is in the slipper which is supposed to increase comfort. And perhaps it does if you order a few sizes up. But for this pair...no sale.4. The soles are not waterproof - they get slippery! (No pun intended) And because they come with a hang tag that is attached THROUGH the bottom...you end up with a perforation at the bottom, no matter how careful you are about cutting said tag off. Frustrating and also likely to get moldy with long term use.I tried wearing these for several days to give it a fair evaluation, but it was an unpleasant experience. The star rating I gave is based on aesthetics only, really...I would rate it 2-2.5 if that was an option.Wish I could say that I recommend these, but I don't, based on the above. Unless you want to order slippers several sizes bigger - which is a roulette spin without being able to physically try them on first. Had I been able to do that, I would have never gotten these.
This fit exactly as expected. I wear size 11 so I got the XL and as usual, they are perfect. I love the consistency of Dearfoam's sizing! These have a lot of cushioning in them. After wearing them a day it seems to conform to my foot and they are more comfortable than ever. The inside lining is very comfortable-I just highly recommend that you get the little white tags out. Those just tear out or you can cut them out but they are placed right along the arches, and really bug me if I don't take them out. These have great soles that are good for going outside in. They are non-slip. These have little pull tags that you can use to get them up on the heels if you need to, but I find it after a day my foot just goes into them perfectly and I never need to use that. They just take a little wearing in. These are a little bit warmer than what I would normally wear in the summertime, but they are airy enough and easy to slip on and off when I sit down.
I received a pair of the Dearfoams Women's Nadine Wool Blend Clog Slipper, Light Heather Grey, Size Large. These seem like decent Slippers, once you remove the inside tags at the arches, and remove those very uncomfortable sewn-on heel tags. I had to very carefully use a seam-ripper and a magnifying glass to get those heel tags all the way off, as they were totally driving me crazy! These Slippers seem to run a bit on the small size!I normally wear a Women's medium width, size 9.5 to a 10 in US size. With these Slippers, my toes are right at the end of the toe-box area, and my heels are just about going over the back heel-lip, so my feet are feeling just a tad too cramped, especially for a house Slipper!I did not even think I would need to go up to the next size, but if I could do this order over again, I would choose the XL instead. These slippers are light weight, but the manufacturing quality seems decent. The cushy comfort is nice. The outer sole is rather thin, so I'd expect these house Slippers to last around a 6 months to a year, depending on how much you wear them. For, the current price of $28.50 at the time of my review, I think they are just a bit overpriced.
