When it comes to comfortable footwear, the Dansko Men's Karl Black Box Mule stands out with its open-backed design. Slip your feet into these clogs, and you’ll immediately appreciate the thick padding around the instep. This thoughtful feature, combined with a contoured insole that provides exceptional arch support, ensures every step feels cushioned and natural. Dansko has long been synonymous with all-day comfort, allowing you to stand on your feet longer without discomfort.
The journey of Dansko began in 1990 when Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup stumbled upon their first pair of clogs in Denmark. They were so impressed by the comfort that they decided to share this experience with friends, which ultimately birthed a successful shoe brand famous for its commitment to foot health and comfort. Today, Dansko offers a range of styles including heels, boots, sandals, and more, but the essence of comfort remains at the core of their designs.

This is the 2nd pair of Dansko clogs that I’ve had…they are well made and offer extreme comfort for being on your feet for long periods of time…I’ve noticed that many Medical Professionals are wearing them…well worth the price 👍🏼
I have been wearing these for over two decades as an ER doctor. But over those years Dansko sizing has varied a bit. Clogs should fit firmly. Heel will meet end of clog.My feet are a very normal size 10. Or a size 43 in European sizing. Almost all shoes I have purchased in that size fit perfectly. Last Dansko clogs I bought a year ago in size were smaller than prior years, or even decades. They fit fine barefoot. But at work I wear fairly heavy socks for extra comfort. A 43 was too small for socks. This time I bought what Amazon page called about 10.5. This is a 44 Dansko size. These fit perfectly with heavier socks. The other pair of 43’s are now just my summer barefoot kick arounds. If you wear clogs you will understand. So if wearing thicker socks, go a size up.
Medical student in third year rotations, and I was tired of my feet hurting. Between rounds, OR time, clinic, I was in my feet non-stop. I’ve always worn boots, OnCoulds, and recently, Hokas. The OnClouds and Hokas are great but the foam just isn’t designed to stand up to long lengths of time in your feet, and because it’s not very dense, it gives out too quickly.I’ve always thought these clogs were pretty ugly, but I was to the point I didn’t care. Honestly instant love. They footbed is dense and heavy, which initially seems like it may be uncomfortable, but as you wear them they soften some but still provide incredible support. I’m sold. This review was NOT sponsored and I paid full price for my Danskos.
WorkThe left foot feels good. The right is tight. Previous pair fit well.
Working long hours as a Chef and this are the perfect shoes. Highly recomended.!
my shoes were purchased new from the primary supplier listed on Amazon (when you click on 'Add to Cart', those are the people i dealt with. if you click on 'Used' and hunt for a bargain you are dealing with Amazon resellers)the following one line email message was sent to me this morning : "We apologize about the sizing charts made by the manufacture [sic], As a seller, We want to fix this problem and see what we can do to change your opinion on this one star review. Please advise us and let us know"my public reply follows :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------while i am glad to hear that you "want to fix this problem", an apology does nothing to address the situation for current, and future, customersthere is one obvious step that could be proactively taken until this sizing problem is corrected -- post sizing information on Amazon which corresponds to the goods being shipped, thereby allowing customers to select the correct sizeyou are aware of the fact that the manufacturer is shipping merchandise not conforming to international shoe size measurement standards, and yet are still accepting orders and allowing shipments to proceed ... that is unconscionable. this course of non-action is guaranteed to create dissatisfied customerssince ~90% of customers will never complain, my less than complimentary statements will have to remain as a warning to others who are unaware of such disregard for their podiatric well-being. speaking of which, is your firm insured against medical claims? the manufacturer must be, right ? if the time required were available to me my personal preference would be to simply file a class action lawsuitin closing allow me to assure any interested party that redaction of my accurate comments is not for sale : if you are worried about your sales i suggest you * take action * to remedy the situation----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------you, dear Amazon customer, have been warned. the manufacturer has nothing to do with the Amazon retail listing ; they are simply not sizing their shoes correctly.. [edit] now the company is sending me emails telling me to remove this review because the manufacturer in China. is causing the size problem ... if they worked on customer satisfaction rather than harassing customers and. trying to control feedback they might get somewhere ! sadly, even their coercion falls short and finger pointing. resolves nothing.
My last Dansko shoes lasted nearly 2 decades... I love this company. But man was I surprised how dark the antique brown is... here's a photo comparing to my old brown Dansko's. I actually think the photo makes it look more brown than it is in real life... these things really look black ... not brown at all. I'm not sure if I got the wrong color, or if Dansko shoes just aren't truly brown any more... but I'm returning.
