I recently moved to NYC where we've had lots of rain, encountered lots of suspicious puddles of liquids, and have less-than-ideal sidewalks. I wanted a shoe that looked like a shoe but that was also waterproof, had good grip, and also had some style.I'm not a huge fan of the extra height these give, but I love how well they've handled the weather, their everyday comfort, and the traction the provide on all surfaces. Sure it's designed for hiking, but my commute can be a hike and these keep me dry, safe, without looking or feeling like a boot.
Very good material and very comfortable shoes.
I don’t usually review items that I have purchased but these shoes are absolutely the best shoes I have ever bought. They are super comfortable and a perfect combination of support for hiking to just an enjoyable day out and about. I like them so much I even ditched my golf shoes and started wearing these when I walk the golf course. I have been in wet areas and cold areas and my feet have stayed dried which I was initially skeptical about. I would rate them an 11 on a scale of 1-10!
Very versatile. Good performance. Rubs ankle a bit (hence the 4 stars) but either it was a matter of breaking them in or the insoles I put in them helped with that because it no longer hurts my ankle (both with and without the insoles). Looks great with casual/formalish clothes. Colourway just perfect.
Very comfortable and nice quality shoes.
Getting ready for my hiking trip which is a week away and after much reviews and research i decided to go with these and i am so glad i did. These feel great right off the bat, surely there is a break in period but these are comfortable already. I usually order US size 10 for all my shoes (adidas/nike) but these i got a half size up US10.5 because i'd be wearing thick wool socks and i am glad i went a half size up. The fit is just right, not too loose or too tight. Super spongy and good traction at the same time. Looking forward to see how they perform on the terrain.
The shoes are comfortable. Good for walking. Great traction for hiking. So far they are durable but you really don't know for awhile. They look good. My only complaint is they had glue from the manufacturing process in a couple spots and it doesn't come off. They were small but visible spots. I considered sending them back because i keep my shoes spotless and clean so it bothered me. But it wasnt so excessive to send them back. I would have given them 4 stars without the glue. Again I am picky about stuff like that though. (I never give out 5 stars because everything can always be better in some way.)
I bought these only because I didn't want to wear Ariats to New York and we once got caught in a random December blizzard. Let me just say.....wow. I didn't want to wear my Brooks either as they get soggy easy. But the comfort of these boots/shoes goes right with my Brooks. I did have to get a cheap insole but I do that for all non-Brooks shoes. I am hours and many miles into these shoes and they are incredible. I'd hunt in them no problem too. Easily wear in the rain in the woods.I also broke them in teaching class, so standing all day. They did amazing with that. Between that and running around NYC....they're my go-to shoes now.
