Update 12/6/23: I purchased the Columbia Men's Crestwood Hiking shoe, in "Mud/Squash", over two and a half years ago and they have been very good shoes. I did have one little tear in the mesh, about the size of a pea, directly where it joins the black toe guard. It never grew in size and I wore these shoes several times a week over the years doing various activities in them. They always looked good but were showing a little wear on the soles......so, I bought another pair in grey and I am very pleased with them. I will continue to use the old pair to work around the house and will wear the new ones for daily wear away from home. So, do I like them? I DID buy another pair after wearing my first pair for over 2.5 years! Yes.....I am very pleased with these shoes and the service they have given me!I purchased the Columbia Men's Crestwood Waterproof Hiking Shoe in a size 13 wide in the "Mud/Squash" color! I was a little hesitant to purchase these on-line, since most shoes (sneakers/hiking) I purchase seem to run somewhat small! Before purchasing, I had my foot measured at a shoe store and it was a 12.5 men's US length. So, after reading reviews stating the size was accurate, I ordered the 13 Wides. I have had them for about 3 weeks and they are just great! The size (13) fits very comfortably and correctly on my foot and they are "cushy" and easy to walk in. I like the way the shoes look and feel on my feet. They are waterproof and have a label on each shoe's outer side, stating "Waterproof". The toe "kick" is made of rubber and wraps around the toe of each shoe. The soles feel like they are rubber too. I primarily purchased them for walking, but will use them for some hiking too! So far, I am very pleased with the look and feel of these shoes! The one criticism I have of the shoes it the arch is not quite high enough for me. I have flat feet and would have enjoyed having a little more arch support in each shoe, but I can always add a little more arch support if it becomes a problem. I usually purchase the 13M's, but I went with the 13W and am glad I did!So far, I am pleased with the look, feel (arch support could have been more pronounced), and sturdiness of the shoe! The only thing I can't tell you yet, is about the durability of the shoe. But time will tell.....and so will I if they don't meet my expectations!
Got these as a gift for my elderly father who recently moved from the desert to the PNW. We had gotten him waterproof boots before the move but he complained that they were too heavy for him to wear too long. I wanted good tread, waterproof and a sturdy build for him without being too heavy since he spends a lot of time working outside. These fit the bill. He finds them comfortable and they keep his feet dry in wet grass and light rain. I ordered his regular size, despite some reviews saying to size up, and they fit him well.
I bought these shoes last minute before a 3 month trip to Maui when I realized I needed a rugged, waterproof hiking shoe and didn’t already have one. The shoe is a very comfortable fit on my size 12 foot. The shoe is a great shoe for walking and feels very secure and comfortable. The waterproof feature worked as advertised when I inadvertently stepped in a hole while walking along a wet river bank. I’ve been extremely pleased with this show in every way and think you will be too.
Bought these by accident, but glad I did. Great fit and very comfortable right out of the box on a 6.7 mile hike. Very good sole with great traction on rocky areas and seem to be a well built shoe. It's hard to find a good wide shoe, and these worked out great for a mis-purchase.
Brought these to replace old Wolverines before the upcoming winter weather & so glad I did. Roomy enough toe for thicker socks, comfortable inner sole, durable waterproof build that’s lightweight too…check on all these points and more. Great when you need traction across multiple terrains but don’t need the weighty coverage of full boots.
Bought these shoes for hiking. They are very comfortable and water resistant. I bought the size that I normally wear. They seemed slightly snug at first. After wearing several times they feel perfect!
I wore this to under the mist of waterfall for about 2 minutes thinking I need to change socks and shoes afterwards. But no. My feet were completely dry. I also wore these to hike on a trail with puddles, completely dry afterwards too. I believe as long as I don’t soak these shoes in water, my feet will remain dry.
Wanted these for a hiking trip I'll be taking soon. Sturdy and comfortable, easy to walk and stand on all day.
