Looking for a “shoe” for everyday wear plus being a bit stylish. I decided on a loafer. I shopped in Dillards to try on multiple brands. The fit on most was just not there. To soft, or didn’t cover the top of my foot properly. To low in the heal so if I wanted to wear a sock it just didn’t feel right. In frustration I tried to find the Cole Hann shoe but of course they didn’t have it in stock. So I came home and went on line. Not only did I like the look it was also $40 cheaper than the store. I figured, order them and if they don’t work, send them back? Well.. they are perfect! I wore them around the house for an hour or so with socks and then with out. No blisters. Super comfortable and very stylish. Cole Hann didn’t disappoint!! So glad I took the chance and ordered.
Out of the box they fit perfectly! Wore them to the Home and Garden show and did a lot of walking with no rubbing or blisters. The sole looks like they will last a while.
I have been wearing Cole Haan loafers for the last 10 years and they are definitely quality. I will be returning these as they are too big and I need to go down half a size. Cole Haan most often has shoes in Wide which can be hard to find with other brands. The quality of the leather is nice and holds up well. My current Cole Haan's are 5 years old and do not look scuffed or worn. I got the blue teal color and it is a nice looking Navy.
The product is of good quality but jeez are these shoes narrow. If the shoe is wide I wear a 6.5 (American) so based on reviews I ordered the 7 regular. I attempted to contact the makers before ordering to determine if there were actual measurements for the shoe sizes. Nope. So I went with the 7. The shoes are very narrow and a bit longer than a traditional size 7. So now the conundrum: get the 6.5 wide or the 7 wide? The shoes are a leather classic penny loafer and the leather is not too shiny, is even grain/texture, and even coloration (black). Also, free returns are only through the UPS store, not drop site. UPS pickup charges $6.00 so not a true free return unless there’s a UPS store nearby; I would have to drive an hour or more for that. Damn.
I’m in love with these loafers. They take me back to my youth when I wore the classic brown penny loafer with a penny in the slot. I love the two tones. These shoes are comfortable and I have a narrow heel and most shoes are to wide in the heel. These are perfect. The price was excellent for these to be Cole Haan shoes. The color combination maybe 2 seasons ago and that’s the reason for the lower price but I love the color so it works for me.
I love that these are soft authentic leather, not PU. Price of $99.99 was a real bargain. Old school penny loafers, most important is that they are very comfortable. Beautiful casual classy look.I had bought another loafer elsewhere that was leather and my usual size. I could have put both feet in one shoe. So large that even with 2 heavy pairs of socks the heels kept slipping off. They were very inflexible.
These look great and are buttery soft on the outside but have a stiff ruff material on the inside upper surface in the ball/toe area. The don’t stretch and are too stiff in the toe box. I kept them and they are not miserable to wear but very stiff.
