This brand and style of shoes has been around for several years. This is my third pair of these shoes in 6 years. They are the most comfortable every-day shoes I have ever had. They are easy to just slip into, extremely comfortable walking shoes, and a timeless style. They are also very sturdy, thus the ability to wear them daily for 2+ years. I hope they are still making them 2 years from now when it is time for another pair.
Bought a pair of red Cobb Hill shoes about twenty years ago. Looked them up to find a store near me, finally used Amazon. They still sell the same style that I am extremely fond of so I bought a pair in black. Fit me perfectly and are very comfortable.
I only buy theae shoes and a sketxher shoe. Most shoes hurt my feet. This brand and style never fails to bring comfort and durability. I just wish they made more colors in the wide size.
I bought these shoes last October 2013 (I've owned them for a year and 8 months), Sz. 8.5 C/D after reading the reviews and I'd hoped it to be a good buy. Buying shoes has become more and more a true hassle because I have wide feet, plantar fasciitis, and Metatarsalgia. These shoes have only a very slight arch support in them and no support for the ball of the foot - the sides of these shoes are made of soft leather and easily give way as well. There is not much in the way of shock absorption and the heel counter is weak due to the leather being too soft. I tried orthotic inserts, as some reviewers have said they've done, but I end up struggling trying to keep the shoes from sliding off my heels due to the shoe's low-cut. The inserts would work perfectly if the shoe did not have such a low-cut (in the photos these shoes do not look low-cut). I am not able to wear these shoes with knee high stockings or thin socks (as I'd hoped) due to the pain factor. I wear thick socks with these shoes just to get through the day at the office. If I have to stand in one place for more than 15 minutes the pain in my feet becomes unbearable. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone needing good arch and ball support. I gave these shoes 4 stars because they are a good quality made shoe and would make a good pair of shoes for those without foot issues. However, these shoes are made with good quality leather - they still look fairly new after wearing them M-F over the last year and 8 months, they clean up nicely. I would only recommend these shoes to anyone wanting to buy good quality leather shoes who only need a very slight arch support.
Feel like slippers. I wear a wide and these are a true wide. I can wear them all day from the first day out of the box.
This is my second pair of these shoes. True to size. Would like choice of different colors in my size.
I had to return the shoes. They run small.
The pricing for these were VERY reasonable - on sale actually. The almond color is very nice and should go with jeans, or black pants. I got the Wide size 7.5 (my normal size) because I read that most people thought the shoes fit as expected. I'm glad I went with it because they do 'fit as expected'. I also used the size guide and measured my foot length. They fit great. Look great because the style is very relaxed and comfortable. Good support inside, as well. Should last long because they seem well made and are leather.Great buy on my part. It just so happens that I got this on SALE and the price came in under $30 for the color and size I needed. I was lucky! I'm also getting the navy pair; although price is a bit higher at $53.00 - after taxes; BUT, I add the two together and have two pairs of leather shoes for about $41 each. I cannot do better anywhere else.I'd compare these to Hush-Puppies or Clarks in quality, comfort and style. Recommended - check pricing elsewhere first since you never know who might have these on sale! Thank you.
