I love the way these shoes look which is why I ordered them. I ordered a 5.5 (I usually wear a 5) so I could wear socks with them. They are too long even with the socks and slide on my heels. AND they are too tight across the foot even with knee-highs or trouser socks (which are like hose) or even with no socks whatsoever. I've always had good luck with Clarks before and thought they were excellent quality but these just don't measure up. I wonder if they're being made in China now.
These do fit rather snug but I think I like that. They won’t flop off your foot like so many of my other flats. It’s cut higher than usual flats, a bit on the narrow side and they feel like I’m walking on marshmallows because of the platform. I can see what other reviews mean about “cutting” across the top of your foot though. I wear a 7.5 medium width and these fit me fine. We will see after walking around awhile at work but for now they’re keepers.
