The Clarks mens Desert Chukka Boot is a contemporary take on the classic silhouette inspired by the traditional boots worn by British officers during World War II. With its stylish black suede upper and crepe sole, this chukka boot promises both elegance and comfort for your everyday wear. Clarks has built a reputation over more than a century for crafting high-quality men's shoes, and this model exemplifies that legacy.

Dr. Martens 1460 Chukka Boot | Leather | AirWair | 1.25 inches |
When you slip on the Clarks mens Desert Chukka Boot, you're immediately enveloped in a sense of quality. The soft, tactile nature of the suede feels luxurious against your skin, while the sturdy crepe sole gives you confidence in each step.
In terms of comfort, the stabilizing, suede-lined heel counter plays a critical role. It helps keep your feet secure without being constrictive, making these boots ideal for long days on your feet, whether at the office or out with friends. However, some users have noted that they may require a short break-in period before achieving maximum comfort, so keep that in mind if you're planning to wear them for extended durations right away.
Styling the Clarks Desert Chukka is effortless. They pair well with everything from smart casual attire to more relaxed outfits. The elegant black suede elevates any look, ensuring you make a great impression wherever you go.
Durability is another strong point. The quality craftsmanship means these boots are built to last, even with regular use. Just remember to follow the care instructions, as proper maintenance will further enhance their lifespan.

Recently purchased some Clarks Desert Boots in Oakwood color and after wearing for 2 days I'm happy with the purchase. I've worn Dr. Marten's style boots over the years but rarely do anymore due to practicality/comfort issues (especially since the quality of DMs has gone down considerably since they moved manufacturing to China) so I was looking for something with old-school appeal/versatility and these fit the bill. I found them to be pretty comfortable right out of the box. I prefer my shoes/boots to be flat on the insole which these are....no crazy arches to make my feet hurt during casual wear. Maybe not quite as comfortable as wearing a pair of fur-lined slippers or anything....but honestly not that terribly far removed. Very light and as comfortable as I hoped for and by far the most comfortable boot right out of the box that I've ever worn.Regarding sizing....I agree with other reviews I've read about this boot: that depending on the shape of your foot...ordering a 1/2 size to a full size smaller than your true shoe size is a must. My feet tend to be a little on the wide side so I chose to size down from my normal 7.5 (as measured on one of those things from the shoe store) to a 7 and I'm confident I got the right fit. I still have some room at the toe which I don't mind, but if I would've went a full size down I'm pretty sure they would have been too small width-wise, as the 1/2 size down are snug in width but not uncomfortably so. I liked these so much that I immediately ordered a pair of the beeswax as the rich brown color on those looks pretty fantastic....at least from the pictures.Definitely recommended for a casual, timeless looking boot.
I remember as a 10 year old kid my Dad got me the Clark desert boots, which he had bought for himself too and were same as these. I wore them for a long time until I outgrew the size. I never forgot those shoes. When I came across these I travelled back in time (44 years ago) that is when I had them and suddenly nostalgia hit me hard. I had to have them there was no question about it. I ordered them and they arrived nicely wrapped in a strong shoebox. When you put them on you feel that you have worn a sock instead of a shoe, they wrap around so nicely. Comfortable would be an understatement for these classic shoes, they are heavenly. I wear 12D size and that is what I ordered, they fit perfectly. They looked great with a navy blue corduroy Ralph Lauren pants which I bought the previous day. Those who like good quality shoes must have a pair of Clark's desert boots in the closet at all times, I know I will never be without one as long as I can walk on my own two feet. The two most important things in life, a comfortable bed and a pair of comfortable shoes, if you are not in one you are in the other.
READ past this to the middle………...Great shoe! I wear a 10 1/2, I would recommend a 10. The shoe is very comfortable, no rubbing on the ankles, lightweight yet sturdy. They look great; the suede is high quality and just the right thickness. The sole makes walking a pleasure; very giving yet solid. They have a high cool factor as well; everybody digs the casualness and easy style. Think Rubber Soul Beatles..that's it. Super fast, safe shipping through Amazon. Great price, too. Clark's are the best! ………………. THAT'S my original review. I just got another pair thinking it'd be the same and ..WHAT HAPPENED CLARK'S??? The shoe is tighter, the suede much stiffer and thicker; not nearly as supple as the one from a few years ago. Somebody at Clark's shopped these out to another manufacturer and the results are not so great. Maybe they'll get more supple after a year. I'm disappointed, Clark's!
I bought the Clarks in Oakwood suede. They look fantastic. The leather is not as soft as it is on my 1883 Wolverines, but still softer than any work boot. The suede looks great and will be getting protected with Allen Edmonds suede protector. The leather is soft enough to be comfortable and flexible from day one, but the foot bed is not cushy at all. The crepe gum sole is not as soft as you would expect, but that should help with the durability a bit.I found the fit to be spot on. Many claim they are a size too big, which is what people claim on every pair of boots I've even bought. These were spot on for me. I buy 11.5 in everything from sneakers, to dress shoes, to boots and these were the same.
