The Clarks Men's Walpath Zip Oxford Boot stands out in terms of design and practicality. The black leather finish exudes sophistication, making it versatile enough to pair with jeans for a relaxed look or dress pants for a more refined ensemble. The rubber sole offers excellent grip, ensuring that you can navigate various terrains without compromising on safety.
In terms of comfort, these boots feature an ankle-height shaft that provides ample support while maintaining flexibility. However, some users have noted that there might be a brief break-in period required before they feel completely comfortable. Once broken in, many reviewers rave about how cushy and supportive the interior feels over extended periods of wear.
The convenient zip closure adds to the overall user experience, allowing you to slip them on quickly without the hassle of laces. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals with busy lifestyles or those who prefer ease of use when dressing.
While the boot's weight is manageable, it may feel slightly heavier compared to other styles, which could be a consideration for those prioritizing lightweight footwear. Also, the limited color options may not suit everyone's personal style, but the classic black leather does offer a timeless appeal.

I've been looking for a winter boot that was easy to put on (slip on or slip on with zipper and no laces). I didn't want it to go high up my leg, but also not shoe style. I also wanted some that looked good and not a work boot. I own Sorrels that I love for the deep snow days, but I couldn't ask for anything better than these Clark boots. They are very comfortable, look great and are completely waterproof- all at a very reasonable price. I ordered both a 12 wide (it was all they had in this size) and a 13 through "try before you buy". I normally wear a 12 but tried winter boots that run small and I also wanted room for heavy socks. As it turned out, the 12W were per perfect fit given the extra width, but the 13 wasn't comfortable because they were narrow (and uncomfortable) and more difficult to put on. I've tried many pairs of winter boots and these handsome down beat them all!
I like Clark brand shoes! I have owned five or six pairs of Clark shoes. So when I saw this Clark boot I wanted to give it a shot. Fortunately, I had a well worn slip on old Clark boot that I could check the size on. So I decided to try a 9 1/2 same as my old boot. This Clark boot is a front zip boot that zips up the middle of the front of the boot. This boot is a little bit looser on my feet than my old Clark boot, but not to the point that it is uncomfortable. It is a nice looking boot with a good tread. I have been wearing it for many months and it still looks and feels good on my feet though a little loose. My only complaint is that the zipper will not zip up or down very well or not at all unless the boot is sitting straight up on the floor or some other level surface. In other words you can’t angle or cross your legs while zipping this boot. There is a mesh fabric where the tongue would normally be that may be the problem. The mesh evidently helps to make these boots waterproof. All in all a nice boot with a troublesome zipper.
My husband LOVES these boots! He bought a pair years ago and finally wore them out after wearing them everyday working outside on our property. He was heartbroken and figured they were so old he could never find them again. I surprised him and ordered these…the newer version. (Same boot, just a little more stylish.) Imagine how happy he was to get these! So happy, in fact, that he ordered a second pair, one for working outside and one for just knocking about. They keep his feet both warm and dry and are very comfortable “to boot!” (Sorry, just couldn’t resist the pun!)
I bought these boots to replace my worn out 17 year-old Cabela's canoe chukkas. I was totally surprised at the quality of these boots. They got delivered just as the bad weather started with that "Alberta Clipper" in January. I trudged through a lot of snow and slush and true to their word, the waterproofing worked great and didn't experience any leaks, and with thick socks, kept my feet warm. They come a little bigger than the advertised size, so I suggest wearing medium weight crew socks for maximum comfort and a good fit. Also, I saved $30 buying on Amazon as opposed through my local shoe store. I hope these last as long as the previous mentioned canoe chukkas.
These boots were not in new condition, matter of fact…they are in very used condition in my opinion! Very disappointed.
It truly is a shame that the boots are a poor fit. Each one was almost a different size. The right boot fit tight and narrow and the left boot was loose and my heal was sliding around. It is like rolling the dice to find out if the boots will fit properly.
This is a high-quality well-made shoe, but it is NOT for someone who has a high instep. If you have a high instep like I do, you will find it difficult to zip up that front zipper. My foot barely makes it in, and I'm concerned that the zipper will fail or break too soon.
