Can’t go wrong with this brand of shoe!
All my shoes are 9.5, but these a size larger. I have normal feet slight arch like most people and the arch support of insole in these shoes is too high, it's painful to walk tbh. I don't know if I'm going to wear them at all now.
I bought these for my husband. He is super hard to please with shoes. If they are not immediately comfortable, he will not wear them. He LOVES these. He has a wide foot, I got the wide width and he said they were comfortable out of the box. Great purchase!
Very comfortable pair of shoes easy slipon
I am 5'9", 150 lbs. old guy, toe area width slightly wider than a "D", narrow ankles, one foot is about 11-1/4, the other about 11-3/4. and very picky. I like shoes that are some mixture of brown, gray and black, White soles are unacceptable, as are most graphics which removes excellent shoes from Asics, and Sacony, the big "N" on New Balance, and all but 1-2 colors on the excellent Brooks Ghost series, which are also too expensive, but at least not made by the CCP anymore. I received these shoes today in sizes 11-1/2 and 12. Each size has an adequate toe box. Each has too much heel slip, the 12 has way too much. The "11-1/2" is almost a 12, the "12" is at least a 13. Made in Indonesia. I will consider keeping the "11-1/2" and trying inside heel pads. I may order an 11. I will return the "12". They are allegedly waterproof. Unlike many others, the gussets are elastic. A shoehorn or a finger is needed to put them on. So far, very comfortable, stable and good arch.
These are great, easy on/off, large enough for husband's shoe inserts. He also likes the tread and sole thickness, will be good this winter. Well made and sturdy.
Honestly, as a long time wearer of Clarks Shoes, I can't recommend this shoe given the lack of comfort.I didn't believe reviews stating that the insole of this shoe was poorly constructed. I was completely wrong! From the moment you put them on, I could feel an extremely uncomfortable sensation on the arch of your feet, which only intensified with each step.
I really wanted to like this show, but the insole is not architected properly. I have normal feet and have always had good experiences with Clark shoes. This insole bothered my foot almost instantly and there’s no way I could wear them long term. Too bad..it’s a good looking shoe otherwise
