Originally ordered size 9.5 ended up changing size to 8.5 and it fit near perfect. also at least for me there is hardly any break in period especially these being my first boots loved the look and the feel very comfortable. highly recommend.

I’m a woman and normally a size 7. The size 7 in these were HUGE. Clearly not women’s sizing, but men’s. I should’ve realized that just based on the price. Women’s desert boots by Clark’s are typically more expensive than the men’s… even though the style is the same. Hmmmm
These new Clarks are better shoes but slightly less cool looking.Pros:The stiffer rubber sole gives way more support than the crepe.The insole is terrific! Thick and comfy. For those of you who have worn originals and are thinking about what size to get in these, I'd say to size down 0.5. The evo fits big comparatively— they aren’t equivalent sizes. In addition, the evo feels a little more like a “dad shoe.” It’s chunkier and heavier than the originals. At once, the footbed is super soft and it feels like wearing a sneaker. The upgraded sole is the best part of the evo though. I always feel bad walking into someone’s place with the grimy original sole.Overall, I ended up returning these and getting another pair of originals. While there are perks to the evo, I love the simplicity of the originals over the new features. I also prefer the sizing of the originals.
These are old school dessert boots and my 76-year old husband loves them. Additionally, I love how they look with casual pants and jeans.
