The color is so beautiful! I bought the green. It is much more beautiful than the picture showed. I had read the reviews and everyone was pleased with the color so now I see why. They are so awesome! I bought these when my Sperry boots fell apart-they are fine, I’m 5’3” and they are a bit higher on the calf-so far they are holding up without cracks.
Very narrow fit, actually painful. I don't know if it's the material it's made of, because I have another pair of this brand in a different color/pattern and love them.
I ordered up a 1/2 size because I typically do that with boots. I have wider feet, and my foot slid in as I expected for boots but could not have sized down any. The color is wonderful! The boot is made sturdy with thick “walls”. It is calf high, covers my whole calf. I would buy again if they had more colors!! I would buy this brand for someone else. Packaged wonderfully!!
Have not had the weather opportunity to wear these boots as yet, but their polished finish make them useful for more than walking thru the slush. Chooka was about the only company who had a reasonably priced Wellie style tall boot available and one that is stylish!
I had a pair of Chelsea height Chookas before for years and loved them but they don't keep you dry/clean in the PNW kind of rainstorm or mucking stalls, so I wanted these taller ones. Very comfy in the footed, but the shaft is very narrow. I tried them on in shorts and felt like I had almost no wiggle room at the calf. Which means even leggings might be our of the question. These were supposed to be new. I was sent a used pair. The insole in one boot is creased and smashed and both have someone's foot prints on them. I can see the marks from their bare feet!
