When it comes to work footwear, the Chippewa Mens Thunderstruck Logger Insulated Nano 10 Inch Composite Toe Work Safety Shoes stand out for their robust design and thoughtful engineering. The first thing you'll notice is the impressive quality of the materials used; the premium waterproof full-grain leather is both tough and stylish, making these boots suitable for various settings, from logging sites to casual wear.
One of the standout features is the 400g Thinsulate insulation that keeps your feet warm without causing overheating during active work hours. Coupled with the Dri-Lex lining, it manages moisture efficiently, ensuring that your feet stay dry and comfortable all day. The Ortholite removable insert adds an extra layer of comfort, adapting nicely to your foot's shape, which is a significant advantage for long shifts.
Safety is paramount in any work environment, and these boots do not disappoint. With a composite toe that meets ASTM F2413 standards, your toes are well protected against potential hazards. The metallic shank offers additional stability, especially when navigating uneven terrain, while the Vibram Thunderstruck outsole delivers excellent grip and slip resistance, enhancing your overall safety.
That being said, it’s worth noting that due to their rugged construction, you might find them slightly heavier than other work boots. New users may need some time to break them in, but once they conform to your feet, the comfort levels soar. Overall, the Chippewa Thunderstruck work boots are an exceptional investment for anyone in need of reliable, high-performance safety footwear.

Comfortable and thick insulation. Should be warm this winter.
Boots are water resistant not proof of working in mid or any water it soaks through the leather and your feet are soaked pretty quickly. After two months of use, a seam broke causing the leather to spread and boots have a big hole in the back.
The ad on Amazon listed rhem as steel toed they were not steel toed and the numbers from the ad to the box and to the boots matched. So the ad needs to be changed in my opinion
Put about 15-20 miles on these boots in steep terrain so far. Still comfortable, break in time was minimal, waterproof has kept my feet dry. They grip extremely well, tied tight provide excellent ankle support. Will update after a few months but so far seem to be good boots.
I also have the steel toe pair there is quite a difference these are much lighter but still great.
These are the Cheapest Logger Boots I think Ive had, worn them like a month and leather is cheap.. worst logger boot Chippewa has ever made! Chippewa used to be really good when they had the American Made Super Loggers. They no longer make those and its a shame! I will never buy Chippewa boots again... Bring back the American Made Super Loggers! Btw these boots went in the fire! To pricey for junk Loggers! Buyer beware!!
