These boots were purchased for my son who is a plumber. They for him great! Are durable and are great quality.
I'm very pleased with these boots. They broke in within just a few hours of wearing around the yard. I can't believe how comfortable they are. The last pair of steel toed boots I owned were miserably uncomfortable after wearing a few hours. After much research and reviews I purchased these, and I'm glad I did. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. I think they're worth it. I worked some Huberb's Shoe Grease into the leather and I'm hoping they last a long time.
So lets start with the overall product and my needs. I live on a 300 acre ranch and i need a boot for every day between working with cattle, working on tractors, chopping down trees, splitting wood, hiking / walking around and heck even taking the laundry out to dry on the line.So this boot is made in Vietnam and fits prefect. Yes at first they were heavy wide boots. But im not a little guy i am 6ft 3in tall and weigh 260lbs and i am on my feet all day till its time for bed. So i guess the boots are perfect for me my feet haven't got wet yet and i soaked the boots in the creek on our property they are not fancy boots but they get the job done. Just as long as you take care of your boot your boots will take care of you.
Not quite sure about these boots. They feel like they have pretty decent quality but they run a little bit small for the size when you’re ordering steel toes. It appears that the steel toe even though I ordered a wide it covers the foot to satisfaction. However, some thing about the steel toe itself seems to curve down and press against the knuckle, and I have ordered a size wide to avoid this particular reason from side to side aside from that aesthetics look really nice, and it also seems a little thin when putting the boot on through the laces, you have to almost untie the whole entire set up to stick your foot through and I have decent feet.
They are some good boots keeps the water out and are also comfortable i would recommend them to anyone looking for a good work boot .
Great boots, It took me a little getting used to the higher heel coming from flat boots. You really need to get the lacing good and tight to make sure your foot stays put and doesn't slide around. Go on you tube to get some lacing tips, they really do help to tweak the pressure zones on your foot. I found my foot was moving and sliding a little inside the boot even with tight lacing, but a few hiking/runner lacing tips from youtube to get the laces tight in the right places and the problem was solved. I also added a lambs wool sole insert from the pharmacy which helped with this - now my foot stays put and is comfortable. It took me a few days to get used to walking in the higher heel and to get the lacing etc correct for my foot, but now I can wear these all day and they are great. Love the extra height and the tough look of the boot. Once you get used to these and let them break it for a few days, you'll love them.
These boots can’t be beat!
I got these for my son for christmas. He has always wore this brand & loves them. Great quality worth the money. They have a real meaty sole & are very comfortable. What's really nice is they come in every size & width you could need. I wrote a review on another pair of boots that my husband got & forgot to tell you guy's he has a bad back & the insole in all of the chippewa boots are orthopedic so once you put your foot in the boots the insole forms to the shape of your foot.
