I was hesitant to purchase these (or any) boots online...but I went for it with these and I'm so glad I did! I ordered true to size (an 8) and these fit wonderfully. At first look these looked extremely narrow to me and I was disappointed thinking I would need to return them due to my wide feet - I was super pleased though when they they glided on like a dream. They look wonderful in person and they are very soft to the touch inside and out. Very happy with this purchase and I'll be keeping them :)
I really love these boots and I am sooo picky about boots & don't typically purchase inexpensive boots like these due to quality. These boots are obviously not leather. The material itself is thin to medium which I like better because thick non leather material is stuff etc.. These boots come up close to my knee...I love the way they look and they are comfortable. I had to trade the 9's for an 8 1/2 and I usually wear between 8 1/2 & 9. So I would say they run true to size. I was not disappointed at all and would like to order these in every color!
Returned only due to calf of boot extremely large for my body type. Boot was comfortable and as described. The Leather used is quite thin and I would not recommend this boot for use except for interior settings, work, evening,etc.. Would not hold up well for extended outdoor use. Price equated to the quality of leather..
so, i think the ONLY thing i liked about these boots was the box. the leather was super soft and smelled cheap, not really like leather. the toe was more almond shaped than i thought it would be, and the top part of the boot has a cowboy boot feel. that paired with the riding boot buckle makes for a strange looking boot. since the leather is supersoft, it folds at the ankles and doesnt stay up, just gathers at the ankle. this is very annoying. also, i ordered my true size and the heel was really loose, even with boot socks my heels slipped when walking in these. overall, they are just terrible.
I purchased these boots (in black) with relatively high expectations as the retail value is priced at $149.95. Unfortunately, the shaft had no structure whatsoever, and was strangely shiny. The calf area is generously roomy, and would be perfect for larger than average calves. The description of the product says its made of leather, but it is flimsy and appears to be low quality. They are soft to touch, and the size is true, but bottom line... They weren't what I expected them to be, and I am returning them. :(
Soft leather, roomy, slouchy, and way comfortable! Excellent price, too. I can't wait until the other colors come down to the black pair's price.
the plus side (for me): - i have big calves and normally have trouble finding boots, these fit me perfectly although i'm a little concerned that they'll stretch out after i have them for a while but we'll see- great colour - exactly as shown- wonderful price for leather bootsthe downside/concerns i have:- the workmanship is not amazing as you can see on the toe where it is glued (when you zoom in)- there are a few imperfections in terms of tone consistency in the upper part - but nothing that really bothers me- should definitely be water proofed - i havent had a chance to waterproof mine yet and got a couple water droplets on them the marks are very evident but i am hoping they'll decrease once i have a chance to treat themoverall - great boot and totally worth the price!!
