Super comfy. The buckle is easy to use, the foot bed is sturdy and feels nice on the feet. The sole is a good weight and wear great for outside wear for things like errands or walking the dog. I get tons of compliments every time I wear them. My family loved them so much that I have purchased them pairs too. I have narrow feet and they fit fine with the buckle tightened.
These are extremely lightweight, waterproof, warm, and comfortable!Perfect for winter and rain.
Let's get the sizing issue out of the way: I wear a size 12 in every pair of shoes, boots, sandals, or slippers I currently own or have owned for the past 40 years. Based on sizing recommendations in the reviews, I purchased these in a men's size 13, and they just barely fit (with socks on--a little looser with no socks). This doesn't mean that they don't fit--I actually find them quite comfortable to wear for lounging and for walking around in, but I wouldn't wear them on a forest trail hike (or even a long walk on the greenway). To be clear, what I was looking for was something similar to a ($240+) European soft boot design that I had seen recommended for use on cold-weather cruises, could be slipped on quickly (when the word is passed about interesting marine life near the ship), and which would pack down as small as possible. Carrying along a pair of standard, hard-upper slip-on insulated boots simply was not a good option, when expedition gear gets the first priority in the very limited luggage space allowed on almost all airlines nowadays. With that in mind, these Chaco boots fit the bill perfectly--I leave the instep strap slightly loose, and can slip them on in seconds and be out the door in seconds (if that's what I need to do). They're warm enough for short excursions outside (to get the mail, take the garbage bin to the street, etc.) or out on deck for a quick bit of sight-seeing (shipboard). The soft uppers mean that I can flatten them down to not much thicker than the thickness of the sole (which, while thinner than my hiking shoes or boots, is much more substantial than any slippers I've ever owned, even the shearling-with-hard-sole ones).I wouldn't count on these as "play in snow" boots, however--just based on my examination of the design, any water resistance will likely be good only for light moisture exposure for short durations, and not much more than that. If you get them and find that I'm wrong about that, then congratulations--that's a bonus.I bought my black pair for only $37 on Amazon (during a lightning deal or Treasure Truck deal or some such)--an outrageously good deal compared to the normal $75-85 (depending on the color), but if they've been on sale once, they may well go on sale again (subscribe to a CamelCamelCamel price alert for the size and color you want).
I bought these by mistake, meant to buy Women’s 7.5. I have wide feet and the men’s size fit perfectly. I did order another pair in the Woman's size but they were too narrow. I know the description indicates the footbed is gender specific but the men’s size fit perfectly. Not sure what the size ratio is between men’s and women’s but I kept with the 7.5 for both.
Excellent quality. Very cute. Comfortable
I thought these were fun and kind of hideous in their own way so I couldn't resist when they were on sale. They arrived and life got busy and I didn't try them on until way after the return window closed. That was a mistake... I had ordered a men's size 9 as I am usually an 8.5/9. These were so small I couldn't get them halfway onto my foot and they were the right width for my partners women's size 7 foot. If these could actually go on my foot I would have no complaints but I don't think I have ever had a shoe fit so poorly in my life.
My favorite winter bootie in southern climate. Wear sandals in warm weather and this boot in cooler weather. Extremely comfortable. Perfect for wide footed woman.
I have higher arches which is why I love chacos. But these don't provide arch support. They are also very tight across the top, making these uncomfortable for me to wear for more than 20 minutes. Because they are so tight across the top these are hard to put on. They do keep your feet warm though.
