Sorry, this is long.Firstly, I bought these FULL PRICE at retail. I have been buying Cat boots for 20+ years and I was shocked at the rapid deterioration of the material. I have gently used these boots, meaning that they've mostly been in my closet for the duration of my ownership. I used them more for fashion than work because they ARE comfortable with a great toebox.I have had these LESS THAN A YEAR and the last time I used them (2 months ago), I noticed that they were "funny" around the ball of my foot, on the bottom. When I looked at them, I expected there to be a rock or stick wedged between the ridges...nope. I saw HOLES where the material was crumbling!I contacted Cat Customer Service and it was a DEAD END. They directed me to the website and to fill out the information for a defective item. I did it TWICE and called to confirm, but NO REPLY, NO CONFIRMATION, NO NOTHING. These were $100+ boots. Cat mech is NOT CHEAP.I truly excpected better everything from them, considering that I buy the expensive boots too. Very disappointed and will not be buying Cat anything anymore. Honestly, I just wanted a credit or just a straight replacement, but got....NOTHING. Not even an email confirmation of defective merchandise replacement request, as THEY DIRECTED. They have ALL my personal information, but not even a return email response!!!This was MONTHS AGO and still nothing. Cheers, Cat. You lost another customer.
