I’ve had these boots for about 2 years now, and I would not hesitate to buy them again in the future. They are great for my use which is any outside activities, which for me is basic hiking and lots of yard work. Much better than any other pair of boots that I’ve owned in the past for this. I’m very happy with them.
I've had the a little time and they are so comfortable. Also are very light on my feet.
These boots are comfortable. I’m one to spend $150-200 on a pair of good work boots, after all, you get what you pay for, right? I’m also not particular to any one brand. I’ve tried many. When it’s time for new boots, I read reviews and look for comfort, style and durability. Some have been good while others sucked. My job has me working on my knees a lot and the first thing that takes damage on my boots is the toe which always wears through. The weaved toe covering is what originally caught my eye here with these boots. I’ve been wearing them for a couple months now, and while the weave is holding up well, the rubber tip that’s glued to it is beginning to come off. Nothing some gorilla glue won’t fix, so not a big deal for me.They are light and definitely comfortable. I’ve purchased other model Caterpillar boots before, and while they were durable, comfort was meh. These are different. Not as high on the ankle as some work boots. More like a hiking boot. They’re sturdy too. I’m a regular size 10 and these fit perfectly.I knew they were waterproof when I ordered them, and in the Sacramento summer my feet sweat. A lot! But the trade off btwn sweaty feet and comfort is worth it to me.I’m on my feet all day. I’m sure these will be awesome as the colder temps sweep in.4 stars bc the rubber is already beginning to peel off. Other than that, very happy with these boots. If I get 1.5-2 years out of a pair of boots, I’m happy if my feet are happy.UPDATE: 12/22These boots gave me 1.5 yrs of comfort. The rubber that was peeling off eventually came to a stopping point and never completely came off. The side stitching eventually began to separate though. But after a year and a half of daily wear and abuse, I’m not complaining, as I am hard on boots.Liked these boots so much, I recently bought another pair. Slap some work insoles in them and you’ll have a comfortable pair of light work boots
Right out of the box I was immediately impressed by the quality of construction and materials used. I feel confident these boots should last a while. The only downside was the way the top of the inner waterproof lining would rub against the top of my ankle. Very painful. Tried to break them in anyways for 2 weeks, 3 weeks, then a month. Finally I put a thick piece of duct tape over the inner lining that was doing the rubbing and now I'm a happy camper. I am sure the manufacturer is saving some money by limiting the amount of material used to make these boots but come on, "finish the job!" and get the lining up over the ankle area to prevent rubbing! I still give the boots 5 stars though, all you need is a thick piece of duct tape and you'll be fine. Also, I've read many reviews where is states your feet will sweat in these. Yes that is true, but not noticeable until the end of the day when taking off the boots you'll have sweaty socks, but never notice that until the boots come off. These boots are 100 % waterproof. I've used them in snow, rain, large puddles and absolutely no water entered the boot. I highly recommend these boots!!
I overall love the shoe it fits like a glove and love the front and rear arch because I like to roll my feet when I walk not just stomping so that’s a major plus
