The leather is a little on the soft side but these are far more comfortable than the Red Wings, Danners and Thorogoods I've owned. I don't think they will last quite as long but I do flooring so regardless of brand I go through boots in about a year or less (even with the tufftoe).
Daily ironworker comfortable wish they made bullnose style for welding I normally get danner bullrun which r great for welding but like most moc toe boots the threads do burn out and cause a blow out
Thorogoods, danners, wolverines, Irish setters, king rocks, redwings, die hard and guide gear all make a moc toe boot. At some point I have had at least one pair of each of these on my foot. In my opinion none of them touch the quality and durability of these boots for the price you pay. The break in period is minimal. The wear is even all around. I am a return customer working in a concrete rich area in commercial construction. I plan on buying these boots until I retire or until they are (hopefully never) discontinued. Thanks Carhartt! My husband LOVES these boots! After trying Red Wing, Thoroughgood, Timberlands, Justin’s.. he finally found a pair he loves that isn’t junk. Broke in quickly, very water resistant, comfortable, lightweight. The waffle bottoms are great for comfort and grip. Will buy again!
Unfortunately I let these boots sit around too long before trying them on and was unable to return them, they are the worst fitting most uncomfortable boot I’ve ever laced up. After 30 minutes of them on my feet it feel like I worked a 30 hour shift
