I will be the first to admit that when I typically buy something I need I go with the cheapest possible solution. There are exceptions to this but footwear has never been one of them.I work on a farm so my boots take a beating. Usually I can get about a year out of a $60 pair from walmart. This year however my new pair didn't even make it a year, the interiors wore out and I was getting blisters and places wear it was rubbed raw on my feet. So I gave in, did some research into some more quality boots and gave these a shot. I have bought Carhartt coats and hats before and know what a quality brand they are.I will go beyond saying that these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn and say that they are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. Even when I put gel insoles into the other shoes/boots. I've already put them through some paces testing out the waterproofing and composite toe and they did not disappoint. My feet remained dry and safe. When combined with a pair of the Carhartt Men's Force socks they feel amazing. I worked a 13 hour shift doing a multitude of things and being on my feet all day. Climbing on and off trailers for a good 7 of those hours. And ONLY THEN did my feet really start to bother me at all, my feet would have been dying by the end of that in my old boots. If these last for a few years then I definitely know what my next pair of boots will be.
Comfortable and durable, great quality
Bought for my son size 13. They fit perfectly
I am on your typical jobsite daily. lots of climbing, twists and turns. These boots stay with me. The high ankle support makes me not have to worry about turning an ankle. And the boots have a good sole so no slipping around.I've worn Redwings for the last 5 years. My job provides me with boots, so I take care of my feet. Had a problem with Redwing shipping to where I live (had a store 10 miles from my last residence) because now I live in Japan.Regardless. I wanted to try these Carhartts. I needed a larger (wider) boot. These claimed to be extra wide. And they are, I just wished they were wider. That is really my only complaint. They have just got broken in, and that takes a few weeks and so they are not as tight as they once were. But nowhere near the comfort of my last boot.I am not sure I will buy these again. I have no regret getting them. Just wished they were a fraction wider. And they could have come with a ratchet lace system. Or I am just lazy.
I’m a heavy duty diesel mechanic and boots rarely last me over 9 months before something is “blown out” at the seams or ruined because they’re soaked in diesel, transmission fluid, oil or something else. These boots have lasted over 1 year thanks to the toe and heel guards. They’re cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I’m definitely buying these again. Can’t go wrong with these. I typically do not written reviews but this one needed to be done. Fellas, if you’re looking for a booth that lasts, buy these. I’ve tried I don’t know how many pairs of different boots over the last 6 years and I’ve finally found a pair I’ll buy again. These are it.
I bought these boots because of 2 reasons. The name brand and waterproof. Well after wearing them approximately 250 times they are falling apart. That may seem like a lot of days but you can see the leather is still good however the soles are falling off.I’d expect for that amount of money and brand recognition they would still be good.Don’t buy them.#carhart
If your working around water and moist conditions these boots are great. Make sure to get leather sealer to protect the leather. If not the leather will get cracks and then start allowing water to go into the boot.
These boots are very good quality, confortable and really waterproof. This is my second pair of the same ones.
