Definately order half a size up. If you have a wide foot, consider a whole size up.These shoes are great for dancing, I'm on my second pair!
In the constant search for very narrow ballet shoes, we ordered these because my daughter wanted split sole shoes. When they arrived, I had to check the box twice because they were practically brown or nude. Not very pink at all. I honestly don't know whether they would fit the dress code at the studio. As for size, we ordered a 5N for a street shoe size of 3. Her toes were at the end of the shoe. A half size up would have been better to give her a little more room to grow. However, the width was just too wide. If we try to cinch the elastic, it just digs into her heel, so we really need narrow shoes. I did like that it came with two different straps in thin and wide widths. However, they give you one long strap, and you have to cut it in half and sew both straps in yourself. So these are definitely going back. Even if they fit, the weird brown/pink coloring was just too off-putting.
They are a little to wide but otherwise they are great. I get to spread my toes on demi-point. I just hope they do not get to loose. I would recommend it to others.
I am a barefoot lifestyle person. I like theses shoes because they offer minimum shoe structure wile passing as a shoe for trips to public places where shoes are required.
These make wonderful Taekwondo mat shoes. They decrease mat friction and still allow you to see your foot positions. They pack easily. My new one's are my 3rd pair.
I know that Capezio's run very small to your street size shoe. When I bought a different style of Capezio in canvas ballet pink..I got 1 size larger than my reg size. I wear a women's 8.5B..& got a 9.5B in this canvas lower cut style & they fit perfect. Thinking that the same would apply with these higher cut toed leather Capezio's in black..I also got a 9.5B. OMG with some major stretching I got the right shoe's width ok but feeling like a 9.5 narrow! My left shoe still cuts into my foot..very long but too high of a cut & TOO NARROW. If you wear an 8.5B...I suggest @ least a 9-9.5C/D width. I know they should have formed to my feet by now. People with a narrow foot will find these just perfect!
Sent back. Unbelievably small!!
