The point of these shoes is to boost height. There is no expectation of comfort, especially to those of a gender not used to wearing heels! It does the job - height boosting. And since I bought these so that I could "flat foot" my motorcycle, I am happy.
Normally I have bought a different kind of shoe from Calden and I love those shoes. Currently the ones I love are out of stock and still out of stock which really makes me upset about it. These however were the most painful pair of shoes I have ever worn and I think it is the difference in the height as well as the hard leather. It might work for someone, but these I hated and I am someone who also hates to give bad reviews unless I feel it necessary.I went through the process return and still I have seen my money returned yet. I would normally always give this company a high rating because they do make good products, but this one was horrible. Plus I am very disappointed about not getting my money back on the return of the shoes I put on only once and the pain was unbearable.
These shoes are well made & look great. They are much more comfortable than I thought they would be. I am a size 9 D & they fit perfectly. I can wear them all day long without any issues. While they definitely increase your height, I don’t think they add 5 inches to your height. I would estimate that they add 3.5inches to your height.
Interesting shoe... I have never worn something like this before. It definitely will make you taller and more noticeable to other people. The height might take some getting use to though. The quality of the shoe is excellent and overall looks nice. I would recommend wearing it with pants and not shorts. It’s worth a try, no one will notice you are wearing it. You will feel taller and your presence will be known.
These lifts were so high...my feet stuck straight up.....very uncomfortable
Great quality shoe, leather with rubber sole, and great fit. Only issue is that even after nearly two months they smell. The smell is strong, though not as strong as it was. It is the rubber sole that smells, an acrid smell. Even the cardboard box they came in still smells.
Read the reviews... and decided to try it out. Honestly, they fit really well. I have used lifts in my shoes, but to have a shoe designed for it made a huge difference. I wore boot cut pants and they looked fine. Walked around the mall and no one looked at me weird or anything. Honestly they either didn’t care but most likely couldn’t tell. I wouldn’t wear these with skinny jeans, so if you are looking at an outfit, try it before you buy it. Normal dress pants will probably be ok with these as well. Would buy again.
