Like all shoes of this brand the shoe is well constructed, with good arch support and excellent finish. The high black polish resists scuffs and the synth sole provides good traction. Sizing at least for the 8 is perfect...But this is not a soft shoe. Be prepared to spend some time braking them in - like a week or two. I was surprised about the stiffness of the leather but I think with time they will be just as good as my other Borns.

They are maybe a 1/2 size larger than I would expect. I have over 20 different pairs of shoes ranging from 10.5 to 12 depending on the maker. I ordered an 11 and I think I should have bout a 10.5
